Also, the Nipsey Hustle concert might have had something to do with. Just sayin....
People are overstating the amount of tickets being given away, but that's okay. Ward-Smith had the lower bowl entirely packed in (sans one section of seats, which was cordoned off), and the only confirmed tickets being given away were for arguably the worst viewing section in the lower bowl (which honestly still weren't bad seats; beauty of Oracle Arena).

Beyond that, Nipsey Hussle is an LA-based rapper without much of a following in the Bay anyway, so there goes that.

Bought tickets for me and my brothers, saw tons of people with tickets that they also bought, the ticket scalpers were still selling tickets to the show that day (with people buying tickets, as Ticketmaster stopped selling tickets just before the event), and was happy to have spent the money, with the crowd in Oakland seemingly with the same sentiments. hate if you want.

Yeah with these ridiculous conditions, no wonder
In a twisted sort of way I'm glad they stuck their foot in their mouth. They have pretty much backed themselves into a corner to where they have to make this fight. Loeffler needs to hire better PR people because they have been on a hot streak of ******ity lately.

As for Floyd he just came off of retirement and JMM manned up

So if Ward says fawk it let's do it at 164, according to your logic it would be ok and all your posts would be bs right?
chuckguy, I know what you think about CW's and about Floyd fans. what aout the thread topic?

Can you tell us what you think about GGG and this offer from Team GGG without mentioning Floyd or his fans?

But the deal would have to be under Golovkin's terms and not dictated by Ward. Loeffler feels Golovkin has surpassed Ward as a ticket seller and in terms of name recognition - making GGG the A-side of the negotiations.

$500k on 9300 people (no breakdown of how many of those people actually paid for their ticket), likely comes out to $50 per ticket

at $210/$105/$53/$27, they must've sold a lot of $27 tickets to push the average down that far.

Kind of interesting to note that Andre Ward, the fighter that Team Golovkin and fans are trying to belittle as being so far removed from Golovkin as a potential draw, cleared double the money per ticket than Golovkin did in 2014 (after five fights on HBO) in 2012. just sayin'

                • So, Golovkin will fight anyone from 154-168, huh ?

                  funny shht !

There is a damn good reason why knowledgable posters, and the overwhelming majority of insiders, are picking Ward to handle Golovkin easily.

Casual fans have little understanding of styles/levels.

i'm basically the only consistent poster in the historty of the internet.

ward should have fought dawson at 175 lbs. that would have been fair. dawson is not a winner, and ward is. he'd still ahve won, but i don't know if the left hooks would shake dawson the way they did. you tend to doubt it.

UD 12 at 175 is how that fight should hve looked.
