My understanding is that the shoulder was hurt before the fight, but not to the extent of injury worth checking yes on the form though still enough to request the use of legal anti-inflammatories/pain killers during the fight. We heard reports of Manny nursing some kind of injury weeks before the fight, specific details of which were not released though we did hear of times where Manny worked on his left only before the fight. After the fight, a sparring pratner confirmed that they had sent sparring partners home ~2.5 weeks before the fight if I recall correctly. It would seem genuinely odd to me that all these happened and Manny was 100%.

Most likely bobby arum avoiding legal fallout that might be associated with checking no by exaggerating the extent to which Manny was fine, along with the fallout of the public that critcized team Pac's decision to send a hurt Pac into the fight.

What's funny to me is how much I heard about how Pac didn't keep his right hand up enough, didn't throw the jab enough & threw too few punches in general etc and yet many of those same people saw no indication that Pac might be injured.

it's normal when fans say 'you're fighting scared floyd.'
but when your own father who knows how you fought your whole life inside out says 'you're fighting scared son!' tells you how scared really floyd was of a one-armed midget

BTW, Pac was confident but he didn't trash talk Floyd before the fight. He never does. I would suggest putting yourself in Manny's shoes and ask yourself what you would have done in the same situation. If you would have done differently, then you have a right to be upset. But if not, then I suggest you give it up.

P.S. Pacquiao can be seen clobbering Floyd on the ropes in rd. 4 after stunning him with a punch that only landed at about 25%. He didn't lose desire until he felt that pain that would not go away. Floyd had little to do with his performance and benefitted a lot from circumstances. It happens, it's life.
Funny you would say that, I have been injured and still played in games. I screwed up and didnt make plays that I normally would make. I shook the opponents hand after the game and told him he did a good job. I took my loss like a MAN and didnt complain and blame my performance on my injury. I dont believe he was injured I think he is lying, ive seen guys tear a rotator cuff and they damn sure couldnt raise their arm nor were they ready anytime soon....Pac just stated on an article that was on this very site, and he said he will be ready to start training in two months, which would put his recovery time at 4 months after surgery for a severe tear. and I KNOW thats some BOOOOL****. He made an excuse for losing, and thats not being a sportsman. So I think alot less of him as a man, not to mention him being a deadbeat dad, or declining a drug test (if you dont take the test, youre guilty). He's turned out to be a liar about who he is as a man.

How could that be your understanding when we were all told leg cramps were the reason camp was stopped briefly?

You are giving Manny an awful lot of leeway here. I think NO was an honest answer. I think he wanted the Toradol for "non traditional" reasons-the same way kids use cough syrup for coughs and to make lean and get ****ed up.

If you believe what you wrote in paragraph 2 then it would seem logical at some point that Manny, Roach or Buboy would have either mentioned the shoulder injury or would have gotten word to HBO to alert the announcers. They did not.

TR and HBO are pros at this. If this was a real injury, I expect they would've done something similar to Castillo/Floyd 1 fight and made sure that the injury was mentioned in the corner and discussed on air.

As to paragraph 3, that is because the boxing community knows why this was the case-Floyd's distance, movement and counter punches. Its the same thing, for better or worse, we've seen in almost every Floyd fight above 140.

This is what many expected would happen. those that didn't, thought Manny would be the one to not have his output reduced. When it happened, those people had 2 choices:

            1. acknowledge that Floyd is superior and give him respect for neutralizing Manny or
            2. find a plausible excuse to take credit away from a man they despise

I do not think it's a surprise that people in that group chose option #2 the most.

He predicted Pacquiao would lose so he could troll harder in the event he actually won. He's a die hard Pacquiao fan that tried to pretend otherwise in recent months so people will view him as objective. It's hilarious

I'll give Floyd credit for beating Manny 5 years past his prime, KOed, injured; by a competitive decision. Good job, want a cookie?

You are overrating the win. Floyd always had the better talent, always was the better boxer, but never the resume to back it to its fullest degree.

It's like RJJ-Hopkins. Better Prime and FOTD? Clearly RJJ and Manny. But better career longevity? Clearly Bhop and Floyd.

This post is way, way out of line...... Not to mention how much more is at stake for a pro fighter than you playing hurt in a pick up basketball game with buddies. Any fighter in Pacquiao's position who accepts defeat might as well retire because what makes them a competitor is gone in the first place. Maybe you wouldn't know anything about that. Peace.
