Golovkin has no date locked in for September; the general understanding is that he's fighting this Fall. To provide enough time for a full 10-week camp and fight on the last day of September would require an announcement of opponent within the next 2 weeks, and there haven't even really been rumors of fighters who are being looked at.

Beyond that, with his last fight having been in June (taking near no damage), it's not like Lara couldn't be physically ready for a September fight either.

      try again.
      No ****

You didn't get at anything with the first paragraph cause at the end of the day GGG fighting in September is still very much a possibility.

And you ever heard of Carl Froch? He's "being looked at"! Pay attention!

And Lara said October! If he can fight in September then all he had to do was say that he wants Golovkin next. Not that he "wants to fight in October" when there's a good chance that GGG's next fight could take place in September.

i'm sure lara isnt pbc's main concern when it comes to ratings..al would likely welcome giving other guys lara's date...hbo just wont accept lara as an opponent bc they are trying to sell u a Can beating monster not a tough fight taking beast..and they are ruining the GGG support..i've even opened my eyes and turned away a bit

Hbo should be the ones giving GGG to pbc..hell 3 million views is nothing to sneeze..just make it contractual that lampley or somebody from hbo works for the PbC that night to help promote the fact that he is HBo...then when he goes back to HBO he is more popular than the regular 1 million ppl that watch him..

Lara should fight quillin, that would be a decent fight ,whats with the matchmakers over at pbc, its pure wackness. Its to bad the boring ass charlo brothers wont fight him, at least lara would knock off those two.

Let's get this clear, Lara is a Haymon fighter; Haymon fighter's do not fight on HBO. If Gennady is not contractually obligated to fight on HBO, then I can see the fight happening. Know boxing politics before speaking and stating that Gennady and his team are scared. Fighters can call each other out all day in today's boxing landscape, however, that does not mean the fights will happen. Promoters control and make the decisions. There are only two boxers who I can think of in today's boxing scene that make their own decisions, these two also happen IMO to be the #1 and #2 p4p fighters and all time greats; Mayweather and Klitschko.

Lets be honest, until he lands PPV type opponents, GGG will continue to fight whatever bum HBO fishes out for him next. Keeping that KO streak going is more important then fighting top competition right now.

If I was Lara, I'd be doing the same ****. Call out GGG knowing dam well this fight ain't getting made. Then, maybe the historic poor viewership of my last fight will be ignored. Have no idea what makes Lara-stans so sure he can fight on HBO or that Haymon wants this fight at all.

Hope this fight happens so that GGG can take a dump on this fool and then we can listen to how GGG is a bitch for fighting a junior middleweight and or that Lara is a tomato can/janitor/cab driver etc...

contracts mean nothing if the owners of the contract make an agreement..hbo broke ties with haymon he succeeded without them..they have spoke of wantint to put his fighters back on...what they need to do is mend the fence and allow some of their fighter to fight on PBC where he pays them more and gives them great one time exposure...agree that lampley can call the fight on PBC and that evens things up so the audience of 2 million or more can be informed that this is a special night..pbc vs hbo they could call it..THIS IS NOT FANTASY..THEY JUST MADE IT HAPPEN WITH MAYPAC..they worked together and got it done..no TR needed for this match
a purse of 2 million for GGG is easy money for haymon and 1.4 or so for lara is as well

Lara hasn't fought on HBO since 2012 and he only did then because TopRank won purse bid for the Vanes fight.
Why do you think he hasn't been on HBO since then?
Tell us what has to happen for him to fight on HBO now.
I know you won't answer the question.
