That fight was huge when it was going to happen. ODLH was the most main stream fighter since Tyson and Trinidad was a fan favorite plus both guys were undefeated.

Oscar would have won like 12-0 or 11-1 for sure...
Floyd beat Castillo in the 1st fight and beat Manny May 2nd. get over the losses already and move on.

Not even close. King Cotto and Saul "hype job" Alvarez combined don't have as much star power as DLH. Oscar just trying to sell a fight as usual. It's a big fight, but not Trinidad/DLH status big.

This dude is quick to **** on himself to put over his own fighters, you gotta give em that props for his promotership <--- yes I just invented a new word, copyright 2015 b1tches.

But yeah, Canelo-Cotto is pretty big, it will certainly be a success, but not on that same level Oscar no need to blow things out of proportion.

He may not be too far off the mark, it'll likely match DLH vs Trinidad in PPV #'s, and surpass in revenue (higher PPV cost). 1.4 million will not be a new territory for either fighter. Cotto did 1.5 million PPV's with Mayweather, and 1.2 mill PPV's with Pacquiao. While Canelo did 2.2 million PPV's in his first major PPV headline vs Mayweather. Fans have already seen these guys names time after time. Canelo is crazily popular with Mexican and Mexican American fans, Cotto has a good PR fanbase in the United States. The fight can definitely do 1.4mill and even more.

Typical job of the promoter to hype the fight. Maybe numbers wise it'll be bigger than Oscar/Trinidad but not name value. Oscar and Tito were both undefeated champions still in their prime ripping through their competition. Canelo/Cotto have both been exposed already.
I will say that it'll be be the biggest Mexico vs Puerto Rico fight since De La Hoy vs Trinidad though.
