This fight wouldn't be for a belt but for the title of Garcia's "father" and "stepfather".
that sh't is super corny...really lite!!...pharmacy cotton soft!!...weak sauce with EXTRA weakness!!....c'mon man, I thought you was more creative than that!!
Either way the fight blatantly wasn't a robbery and Benavidez won a close fight.
I scored it for Herrera but you can't complain with the decision.
Well there you go, you're in the vast majority. I couldn't find the scores, just this:
Popular press scores from Harold Lederman, Dan Rafael, and Kevin Iole all had it the opposite direction with Herrera a clear winner. HBO commentators Max Kellerman and Jim Lampley decried the decision as yet another example of boxing's ongoing, unresolved problems.

Taking credit for another mans work is just totally cringe worthy.
I mean yeah, a lot of Floyd fans took Marquez win over Pacquaio as credit for Floyd.
And a lot of Cotto fans took Mosley's win over Margarito as credit for Cotto.
Both embarrassing but no one called them their "Father" like this joker That's just beyond embarrassing honestly.

I scored it for Herrera but it could have easily gone the other way so I can't argue with the decision like thousands of other fights.
I couldn't find the scores either. I'll wait for those until I say that the vast majority scored it for Herrera and I'm sure that press row scores won't look like robbery territory (over 95% scoring it for the loser) I.e Pacquaio-Bradley, Lara-Williams etc.
Recently? because afaik he's co-promoted by Top Rank.
today on facebook, but don't know how reliable this source is, and then this thread here, hopkins talking about a possible match up between lucas and herrera, so maybe this is next?

I haven't seen anything but personally I wouldn't mind if Matthysse-Herrera replaced the Postol fight - assuming Herrera beats Lundy which isn't a lock because Herrera has struggled with that style in the past.
Granted, a world title might not be on the line, but Matthysse-Herrera is far more relevant to the top of the division.
