Maidana doesn't even like boxing, he does it because he's good at it...

    Based on what?

When has Maidana laid out any fighter above C level?

Thurman would use his feet and walk Maidana into big shots. Thurman is a vicious body puncher as well, he would wear Maidana down and stop him imo.

its not by accident fighters are never the same after mayweather. its not because mayweather knocks them out or anything its because these fighters put everything into it mentally emotionally physically then they come out and mayweather completely dominates. you cant underestimate what that does mentally to a fighter they are probably completely drained of motivation after that.

Except Floyd didn't dominate Maidana. The first fight was very close and competitive. Floyd won the second fight clearly but he by no means dominated.

Maidana has faced a far higher standard of competition and his power has been proven at the top level. On the other hand you have Thurman who was put on ***** street by Soto Karass and has never beaten anyone better than Chaves/Guerrero.

I'm not saying that Thurman has no chance - anyone with that kind of power has a shot but at this stage in their relative career Maidana should be favourite to beat Thurman to likely put him on the canvas a few times too.

No, just fat. I doubt he ever fights at 147 again.

Chino at 154 will be exciting though

The only thing Chino has proven is that he's not an elite fighter. And this is boxing, people get hurt, they go down. Maidana himself has been knocked down by a guy with 3 KOs, dropped by Ortiz, Khan and hurt by Lopez. Either guy can be hurt.

Chaves and Guerrero are better wins than anything on Maidana's resume btw.

                I hope i'm wrong.

I just see someone who has pretty much hit the top and once you take a long period out and put on that much weight it's hard to get that spark back.

I agree with this. Thurman is in for a rude awakening sooner or later.

Thurman hasn't had the chance to prove it yet. Maidana has and he's proven he's not.
