So.....Maidana/Mayweather was a one sided poll. So was Garcia/Matthysse.

Just admit your content with GGG vs Heiland and Monroe type opponents until he gets a golden ticket.

I defended Canelo taking easy fights against Angulo and Kirkland while he waits for Cotto. That's how boxing works nowadays.

True, and decision-making is about risk/reward.

So when you complain about the money for Ward, and then fight Willie Monroe for peanuts..... then the risk is the relevant point, not the reward.

Stop making excuses Team Golovkin, you are nearly as bad as Team Pacquiao.

        2) You state that the Super-6 was an opportunity - and it was - but lets not forget the other side of that equation..... risk/reward. Just by signing, all of those guys knew they had to win 5 tough fights back-to-back.

Any Golovkin fan would have to admit that GGG is a very well-managed fighter..... there is nothing to suggest that Team Golovkin would be prepared to take those kind of risks, they certainly have done nothing like that to date, the exact opposite in fact.

In the example you gave regarding the Super-6, remember Bute ?

Golovkin and Bute were both criticized for their opponent selection..... both made excuses as to why they couldn't sign top guys..... eventually, Bute was found badly wanting, he completely failed to live up to his hype.

Not saying that Golovkin is complete hype, just that he has proven nothing, and that his financial excuses are woefully inadequate.

Also, regarding the Super-6, remember Abraham ?

AA was destroying mofos at 160, but his power/performance did not translate at a higher weight against a higher level of competition..... nobody knows how Golovkin will perform, so stating that he is some kind of star is ridiculous imho.

If he was a star, or even close, I would have a much better idea as to how he would perform both at a higher weight and against a top opponent.

If Golovkins ability comes even close to his hype, then he should be screaming for defining fights. Kovalev fought for nothing, because he knew that he was good enough to make it..... listening to financial excuses from unproven fighters are ludicrous.
But the Super 6 was perfect for a guy like Ward.

Because no one in the tournament had his ability yet they all had bigger names.

I think dan_cov said it perfectly he faced robotic Euro's, who he could out box and dance around. Guys in the tournament posed really no significant threat, other than knockout power.

Had they not set that tournament up he'd probably be in the same position as Golovkin. Seeking big named fighters and the big named guys would be avoiding him. I mean just look at his level of competition after the tournament, it's not that great.

What if There was a similar tournament with GGG involving the other MWs you'd have the big named MW's of his time, like Felix Sturm, Sergio Martinez, Dmitry Pirog, etc.

We might be talking a lot differently about him now. Instead of saying he's properly managed we might be referring to him as the undisputed MW champion. Unfortunately he didn't get that luxury.

Canelo WANTED the fight..... so he made it happen, fcuk the excuses.

          Keyword = wanted.

And Canelo was a genuine star at that point in time, so he had far more justifiable excuses than Golovkin.

Golovkin talks about these fights, but they dont materialise.

Golovkin is talking about it, Canelo is doing it, that is the only difference.

DeGale never said he was "waiting for Groves". In fact, he recently said he doesn't need Groves. It was Golovkin's manager who poured cold water on the fight.
Eddie Hearn knows that DeGale Groves rematch/unification is a bigger fight.
You would know that too, if you weren't a horse's ass.
Lara can't fight on HBO. His team went silent after his post fight interview. Doers Luis DeCubas Jr know how to use a phone?
Ward's first fight in 19 months was a 172lb tune up. He's not fighting anyone good any time soon.
Again, this is all stuff that you should know.

Considering Canelo, Cotto, and Lemieux are ducking GGG. Canelo nor Cotto would sign to agree to fight GGG (the winner) for GGG to step aside.

More to the point, what kind of chance do you give Lara of winning the fight? IMO he's a no hoper, someone like Lemieux at least has a punchers chance. And we both know there's a ton of obstacles to making that fight. It's been over 2 years since Haymon was kicked out from HBO. Their relationship has only gotten icier, and Lara is one of the Haymon guys least appealing to HBO, and a SWW to boot

There's zero money for Ward fcukwit, nobody wants to lose millions. Else Ward would be making an offer like a self proclaimed A sider would. You really have no clue, do you
