So I would say that some fighters of today would outbox fighters of the past due to the natural evolution of the sport and fighters having more tricks up their sleeves and utilizing angles and footwork to create distance deception in order to control range, compared to older fighters who had to set up punches by other punches. Also fighters of today are more athletic which helps a lot if u r a boxer.
      You're on a different planet.

I'm not a casual. Buster managed to do what no one else could and that was keep Tyson at bay most of the night until the uppercut. Tyson was tired because he got beat up and that stiff jab and combinations cracked him all night. So no losing does not mean out boxed but in this case it did.

Both Klitchko's are the hardest to outbox compared with any era or weight class, although they did utilise height and weight advantage over their opponents as well as skill and athleticism.

Nobody really even compares including Lennox Lewis and Tyson who although dominant, still found some difficulties at times.

Either Klitschko was barely lost a round in their entire careers!

                Ismail is right..

Today's fighters are completely superior to Hearns and co with regard to skills.

No boxer prior to the 80's could even box properly as we would today describe it.

Look at Ali, he got his head boxed off all the time even by absolute bums!
