Regardless if I feel he deserves it or not, I would want Khan to win. It's for the same reason I want Canelo to beat Cotto, or DeGale to beat Froch. The current crop of boxers needs these victories MUCH more. Floyd is on his way out, and it will be big if someone can take his 0 before he hangs them up.Comment

Khan ofcourse
Its not Khans fault Floyd picks him, so the people saying Khan doesnt deserve it are taking it out on Khan
Shouldnt you be taking it out on the guy who picked him?Comment

The Alexander win was recent, Diaz isn't a bad opponent considering he drew with the latest american hype job and collazo had just destroyed a former mayweather opponent. See..you just have to think a little.Yes he does. 5 years ago. He talks as if he had them yesterday. No he doesn't really. He's not in the top 10 that's for sure. Probably not even top 15 or 20 either.
Yeah, because they aren't delusional and don't talk like they are the best thing since sliced bread after just having struggled with an ordinary opponent like Khan does.
When is the last time Floyd fought someone not in the top 5 of his division or a world champion?
You're talking like simply holding a world title belt means something. Why didn't Mayweather fight Cotto and Margarito when they were the leading welterweights on the planet? Why didnt he fight Williams? Why did he fight Ortiz, Guerrero and JMM when there were better alternatives? Why did he say he was too scared to fight Pacquiao?
See, i can humiliate you on the topic of Mayweather because I know more about this sport than you and because I'm a fight fan, not a fighter fan so I don't go around sniffing fighters arses and using double standards.Comment

Good point. But Khan deserves the fight more than nearly everyone else in the division, perhaps on par with Bradley. That's the truth that some peeps don't want to admit. Khan's only had 4 fights above 140 and already he's overall fought better opposition than both Brook and Thurman. Add to that Khan's resume at 140 and 135 and it's a no-brainer, Khan deserves the Mayweather fight more than anyone else.Comment

Cotto and Margarito became top welterweights AFTER Mayweather retired, when Mayweather was still fighting they were still going up the ranks while Floyd was the absolute top lineal welterweight champion in 2006, it wasn't untill Cotto beat Mosley in a very close fight at the end of 2007 that he was recognized as a top welterweight, a couple of weeks later Mayweather KOed Hatton and retired, when Mosley, who was one of the top guys at 147 was asked about a potential fight in 2006-2007 with Mayweather u know what he said? he said I wanna take a vacation with my family, this was after the Vargas fight, u can go look it up.
U say u r a fight fan, if you've been following boxing u will remember that around 2006 a fallout happened between Floyd Mayweather and Arum and Floyd bought out his contract to be on his own to make some fights happen like the Dela Hoya fight, if u were following boxing at the time u will also remember that Margarito and Cotto were promoted by Arum, with whom Floyd couldn't do business till 9 years later in 2015 against Pacquiao.
When Floyd was still with Arum, Arum CLEARLY said that Cotto wasn't ready for Mayweather and he would like them to fight each others later, even after Mayweather left Arum Cotto himself admitted that he didn't want Floyd immediatley, link:

As for Margarito, Mayweather was offered a lame 8 mill for that fight that was supposed to generate more than 30 million, when he demanded 11 mill Arum said no and that's what's lead to the fallout, if Maragarito wanted it he could've done the same like Mayweather.Comment

Mayweather "retired" in 2007, literally months later, the trinity of Cotto/Margy/Mosley became THE guys at 147...who does Mayweather choose as his comeback opponent? JMM. At the time a lightweight. When he gets asked live on ESPN why he doesn't fight one of the other 3 actual welterweights, his response? "I don't fight guys with 5 losses" for Mosley and for Cotto/Margy, "these guys have losses against each other"...why'd he fight 2 of them years later then?No u r the opposite of that, u don't sniff fighters' asses, u just hate on fighters online!
