At least he went out losing to someone good. It would have been horrible to see him lose to some nobody 30th ranked middleweight because of his knees.
So much better to lose to a fighter who was not, and by his own admission is still not, a middleweight and who is not interested in defending his MIDDLEWEIGHT title against true middleweight champions. It has really worked out so perfectly!
