I think this will be Cotto's last fight unless he goes back to fighting the Delvin Rodriguez's of the world or becoming a gatekeeper. He really has nothing left at the elite level and will not be able to compete and it's only going to get worse from here on. He's an old fighter. Canelo by KO, easy. Bet the house on it.

I think this is a 50/50 fight, currently I might go 55/45 in favor of Canelo but I might flip my opinion before fight night. I don't see how anyone can act so sure their guy is gonna win this fight, when in reality it's a true toss-up.

Cotto puts Kirkland in a comma in the 1st round alone. I'm still surprised it took Canelo that long to put him away. I really thought 2 rounds or under honestly.

Canelo has beat trout and lara, both good wins. True that Cotto has a better overall resume but to say that you are including everything from their entire career and all of Cottos best work was at 147, many years ago.

For a fight in 2015, Canelo has all of the advantages here. He is faster, bigger, hits harder. They both tend to fade though canelo is more composed.

Canelo has already beaten better fighters than Cotto. Cotto hasnt done **** at these weights. Canelo isnt Rodriguez or yuri ****ing foreman. Hes going to be surprised when canelo is connecting flush and hes unable to land in retaliation, hes not going to know what to do.

I will also let cotto fans in on a secret: Canelo's 25 year old knees work fine, both of them. Cotto is ****ed.
Wasn't martinez hurt like 2 weeks before his murray fight? And yet murray still couldn't convincingly put martinez away. EXCUSES!

Canelo will crack that egg. Everyone is fooled into thinking Cotto has power because he stopped daniel freaking geale. Geale had to drive the late shift for yellowcab the night before and was exhausted on fight night.
Ever since getting rocked by Cotto's fat older brother, name me the power punchers canelo has fought & how many "wars" has he been in.

I have it 55/45 now in favor of Cotto. Canelo doesn't fight the whole 3 rounds and doesn't fight like Margarito/Pacquiao. On top of that Cotto's S&C coach will be a key difference.

I like Bernard calling the fights, I hope he's slated as a commentator for Cotto vs. Canelo as well.

I think I'd lean toward Cotto to win this. If Canelo wins it then this will be his coming of age win for sure. It will be like back when Cotto beat Mosley.
