lmao give it a rest. He's only 1 division north.
Floyd's heaviest weight on a scale was 152; with no weight cut, no sauna, and eating full and regular meals, Floyd was only able to get as high as 152 (actual reported weight was 151 1/2).

Golovkin uses his full fight camp work his body down to 160, walking into the ring, in all likelihood, over 170lbs.

Result of the actual fight withstanding (I see Floyd comfortably winning at least 7 rounds of the full 12), your "he's only 1 division north" quip manifests in Floyd easily giving up 20-25 pounds come fight night.

You'd be equally hard pressed to find a credible list of all-time jr lightweights that eventually tested themselves against middleweights. And the ones that did. Did it at the end of their careers when they were no longer performing at a high level. The history of boxing almost demands that Kovalev test himself at heavyweight. There's very little to no precedent that Floyd test himself against GGG. But, Floyd will have ducked GGG. While Kovalev will receive ZERO public demand to rest the heavyweight waters.
Tho I get your point, this day & age the average heavyweight is a helluva lot bigger than the ones before the 2000's. That being said I think asking Kov to fight Wilder is just as absurd as asking Floyd to fight GGG. Plenty of good qualified deserving welterweights out there for Floyd, funny thing is tho is that by these guys demanding Floyd vs GGG they're basically saying no other fighter in Floyd's division stands a chance so they have to outsource opponents from higher weights. It's really flattering when you think about it.

How is it absurd? Kovalev competed in the amateurs as a light heavyweight, as did Evander Holyfield. You have guys like Roy Jones, Chris Byrd, and James Toney who never competed higher than middleweight in the amateurs, who had success at heavyweight. With Byrd having the most. Michael Spinks probably had the most successful light heavy to heavy run. And its not like I asked him to go fight Wladimir. Wilder is basically a boxing novice learning on the fly. Kovalev, with his amateur pedigree, has probably forgotten more about boxing than Wilder knows. Kovalev supposedly showed this awesome skill set when he "outboxed" Hopkins. Why can't he outbox Wilder? Hell, David Haye managed to outbox a 7' mofo. Wilder should present lil to no problems for thr Krusher.

Awesome response. Typical coming from a fanboy, not a true boxing die hard fan. You'll watch anything as long as Floyd is headlining.

is it safe to say? lol, do you have statistics for this very pointless assumption? what does this have to do with anything I said anyway?

when I said "dudes shook" why did you assume I'm talking about Floyd fans...

the point was, Holt's exaggeratory comments are a poor attempt at wit against the context of Floyd's last 48 opponents.

I know right, they are asking for a 160lb guy to come down to 154 to fight the 154 beltholder who has fought at 154 numerous times. So what's next, fight klitschko(@ 154?)

              Jeez.

I dont get why people want to see a drained GGG because Floyd would ask for the fight at 150 no questions asked and GGG would have no room to negotiate
