Why would someone bother to make up such specific quotes from Golovkin?Recent quotes supposedly from GGG are false, he never said Ward turned down a fight 3 times and never said Ward changed weight in Amateurs

Like I was suspecting.
Sounds like more damage control from Loeffler.Comment

After nearly a year and a half off, Andre Ward fought Paul Smith, a fighter coming in off of two 12-round decision defeats to Arthur Abraham, the first of which a case can be made that he won. Smith had been regularly active and was a good enough super middleweight to get two world title shots.
Pawn Paul Smith off as a can all you want; doesn't make it trueComment

Smith on his best day did worse vs Abraham than Wilberforce Shihepo. .... because Ward fighting a division up allowed Andre Dirrell, arguably the second best fighter on that US Olympic team, to participate in the Olympics.
Ward could eat whatever he wanted, weigh in at 172, and go on to win a gold medal at light heavyweight (178 max); Ward turned pro, fought one fight at 165, and then spend the next 7 fights, I believe, at 160 lbs.Comment

Isn't it obvious? The quotes are controversial/provocative, making them much more likely to get the writer of the story more hits and views.
For someone who spends his life on this site day in and day out you're pretty dumb.Comment
