... And it's a bad comparison: British boxing is extremely solid as a sport, business... In my country pro boxing doesn't exist.

They are not fair-weather fans, like you are trying to make out.
When the British Lions tour here, they bring 40k fans, even though they have little chance of winning.

... I was only saying that British fighters would rather sell out a home matchup than a Ward, GGG fight... which is obvious...

I know, but there's still time for him to get his head out of his ass and go after DeGale.
Why do people continually ignore that?

Its about passion, and what sport you played, but cricket is likely the best game.
The aussies have the best cricket team in the world (Test Match cricket) !
The aussies, when on form, are nearly unbeatable.
When The Ashes Series is held in Australia, how many brits travel ?
The answer is staggering..... even though they hate the aussies, and even though they have little chance of winning
google, the Barmy Army.
In my experience..... the brits are by FAR the best sporting fans on the planet, period. They love it all, motor-sport, tennis, boxing, you name it.
Look at the way they followed Hatton.
They would most likely welcome/support any world-class athlete.
Brits may be a lot of things, but fair-weather sports fans, aint one of them.
Most brits would rather cut off a finger than support a different football team, even if their team cant win a game lol.
