Comments Thread For: Miguel Cotto-Canelo Alvarez is Closing in on Las Vegas

The anticipated fight between WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez of Mexico, is closing in on a venue in Las Vegas - with November 7 and November 21 as the two possibilities, according to ESPN Deportes. New York City and Texas were also under consideration, but Las Vegas has now taken the lead.

The date depends on the venue. If it takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, then the fight is going to happen on November 7, while November 21 makes it likely to take place at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Interesting to see if this ends up at MGM or Thomas & Mack.

So, will the weight limit be 155.5?

Pretty pathetic canelo, he keeps going up by only one pound. after cleaning out 155 canelo is moving up to his new 156 division to continue to dominate

So the "middleweight champion" wants 155 and the "not a middleweight" Canelo wants 156. What a joke.

              Dude that's the master plan, by the time he hits 160 he'll be a 6 division world champ at 154, 155, 156, 157, 158, and 159.

Still waiting for an announcement that Golovkin has accepted a step aside deal so that this fight may be for the WBC title.
