"by far", because he erm, beat Paul Smith?

Ward is good, but his reputation far exceeds his body of work. Lost the second half of the fight Vs Froch, headbutted Kessler outta there, and beat a severely weight drained Dawson, who has since gone on to be proven to be a bit of hype.
Let's see him beat 4 of the young gunslingers: Groves, DeGale, Callum Smith, Andre Dirrell, and maybe beat Froch on the road - THEN he may be worth the props he's been getting.
This is still a very rich division (AA is a bit of a joke as a beltholder), and if Ward moves to 175 he'll be crushed by the top 3, Kov, Beterbiev and Stevenson.

Exactly. Ward should hold no belts at SMW.

If you arent counting Froch and Ward due to inactivity (i still do), then Degale is no.1. Abraham.and Steiglitz have done jack **** at smw other than beat each other.

I like DeGale and Froch should have fought him. I think Froch would Knock him out as soon as he gasses though

No he's not. Quit sucking on the pro black meat.

Can Ward become THE #1 guy? Absolutely and he has the tools. 1 fight in several years(which wasn't at 168) on top of mediocre comp in the last few fights does 't make you #1.

His claim to fame is losing to Carl froch afters, and narrowingly defeating a shot andre dirrell. The super middle weight division is having an identity crisis. With lemineux and golovkin below, and artur beterbiev and kovalev above, who will ignite excitement back into the super middle weight division?
I Can only see george groves and callum smith. Maybe rocky fielding?
fyi Degale fought Groves before Froch did.

                  Murray could beat Degale potentially....
Murray and Smith both beat Degale?

People are lying to themselves by saying Andre Ward isn't the best Super Middleweight in the world.

DeGale vs Ward is a dream fight for me.
