I mean, I do try to keep up, I really do - but O'Kane ????? - Never heard of him. Is that the best that the IBF can do? IBF numbers 1-6 are mostly busy. OK. So how about waiting until the nos 1 and 2 are available to fight. This is where the belt organizations come across as being a mixture of incompetent, ******, coniving and crooked.

Wasn't Johnson ready to fight Golovkin? That in itself is not a great matchup for GGG but surely a better opportunity for Johnson if he believes in himself, which most boxers do.

I'm gonna sound like a dinosaur but believe me I have never used Twitter until now >> but question? Couldn't all the hardcore fans jumping on Lemieux's Twitter shame him into a better fight?

So Lemieux might fight Meryasev, who I've never heard of and Johnson might fight O'Kane - who I had never heard of until reading this thread.

How about Lemieux just fights Johnson or at the VERY least we get Heiland vs Johnson.

I despair for the 'sport' when I see this **** going down. Rigo absolutely avoided. Kolovkin avoided by Stevenson. GGG avoided absolutely. Thurman mostly avoided. Only the lower weights see the great matches get made and not surprisingly there is less money down there.
This lack of competitive match-ups is also why boxing has become a secondary sport over the years.

            Rule N°2

Everybody is saying that, but is the IBF the one that doesn't rank the champions.

Plus the IBF in his "rulebook" ,is eager for unifications matches.(Yep, sorry Oscar, this was a plain duck)

              Both those guys get KTFO.

Make the GGG vs Lemieux fight already!

I got Lemieux in that one.

I'd like to see Lemieux prove he's a true champ first by disposing of his mandatory challenger. I don't care if its a bum that shows up, I want to see him disposed conveniently. And then, they should try to pack the Bell Center with a Rubio rematch to remove that stain from his record. Am sure Rubio would be motivated for this kind of fight and give some good rounds to Lemieux before he gives up. I think a rematch with Rubio is kind of mandatory for him since he got stopped. If all that goes well then you can talk about big challenge as GGG and Canello.
