Just recently David Lemieux won the vacant IBF middleweight title by out-pointing the game Hassan N'Dam on June 20th in Montreal. On Monday the IBF sent out a letter to it's two highest available contenders, Eamonn O'Kane (14-1-1, 5KOs) and Tuereano Johnson (18-1-1, 13KOs), offering them a fight for the number one position in their 160-pound rankings.

Was hoping Lemmiux vs GGG, would have given Lemmiux a punchers chance. Lemmiux is fun to watch but IMO he is too wild with his shots, GGG will time him and easily break him down and beat him. all these fighters talk but once they get the call from Tom Loeffler they seem to go silent. Cant blame GGG for wanting to fight the top at 160, just sad that nobody is willing to step up. Realistically, nobody has a chance at 160 against GGG. Hate to say it but GGG should test the waters at 168. He's been calling Froch but Froch also seems to have gone silent. Ward would be a good fight, but there seems to be a double standard where Ward fans aren't pushing for Ward to fight at 175. Ward has fought 168 for the past decade or so and has cleared the division and has fought at LH in the olympics and won gold at LH but I dont hear ppl saying he should move up and fight Kovalev.
