He doesn't have this "great chin". Since he got rocked by Cotto's fat older brother, name the power punchers he's fought.

He got rocked ONCE when he was 19 in the first round. Even Margarito and Rios got dropped when young. Hr handled Kirklands, Trout, and Lara power fine.

Cotto, on the other hand, has been hurt, wobbled, and quit in his PRIME.

Cotto is the better fighter BUT size negates skill. Have you heard of that? That cannot be ignored and is a FACT. Canelo is stronger and has a better chin. Cotto will put up a great fight but at the end of the day, he is getting stopped more than likely. There are weight classes for a reason. Cotto is stuck between a rock in a hard place as far as weight is concerned. He's come back well but there are still questions to be answered about the opposition he's fought. Canelo is an entirely different animal. You talk about Canelo's stamina? Really? When was the last time he gassed? His stamina has evolved with his experience. And you would be tired after 4 rounds in a war against Kirkland as well. No shame in that. He trains to fight 12 hard rounds.

This is what im talkn about right here. A fight like this, you absolutely have to consider opposition level bcuz it does play a part in how fights play out. Anybody can pick out Canelos flaws...but look at his comp level. At the sametime highlight Cottos strengths but ignore his comp level.

obviosly you're just hear bc it's the only conversation u can get...the day that trout becomes a power puncher i'll stop fishing for cats and turn to trouts...also son there is a misconception that kirkland is a power puncher..he admits his power is not great but his will to win by hitting anywhere u're open with wear u down..he throws 100 punches a round..good indication that his power is overated..no one could take that many hard shots. most of his shots are arm punches meant to score and wear u down...now lara has a one hard punch straight left hand..and it hasnt stopped anyone since he stepped up in competition years ago..cotto stopped a common opponent with lara in 5..lara went 12 with the guy..stopping making up things for canelo..and talk real boxing

in this thread alone i've seen "canelo has a chin"..."he's ready to deal with movement now"

Angulo and Kirkland both hit pretty hard. They just couldn't land on Canelo.

Cotto and Manny are my favorite fighters. Add Ward in there as well. Cotto is going to find out in the very first round, that Canelo isn't OLD, isn't SLOW, and has a great defense and ring IQ. He has POWER and is going to fire back when hit. Canelo is primed and ready for this moment now. He will break Cotto down and STOP him. He is too fast, too big, and too strong for Cotto. His run ends in November.

Speaking of common oponents, how does Trout taste? He made cotto cry his way out of the ring. Canelo dropped him and beat him.

Wasn't he like 19 and struggling to make the 140 limit? He's taken clean shots from Mosley and took them well. And most recently Angulo and Kirkland. Took some on the chin and didn't get rocked

if u believe wat u say in that angulo fight please do me a favor and log off...when he hit canelo for the first time swingin with real power..instead of sticking to the 50% power contractual agreement lol..canelo looked out the ring like oscar WTF just happned..he even looked at the ref like make him stop..

and kirkland is not a power puncher jut a hard worker..he doesnt get leverage on his 100 shots per round..he just breaks u down..but if u break him down first it is over..
