Vargas would not have stopped Bradley. Dude was fairly clearheaded even before the fight ended, and even had Vargas dropped him, no way would Tim not be able to beat the count. Vargas was dominated all night long and landed one big shot and now thinks he deserves a rematch. The ref did **** up hugely though, which is mostly why we now have to entertain BS rematch ideas.

There wasn't enough time, Tim although on rubber legs was still blocking shots, and understood what he needed to do. I highly doubt Vargas had a clear KO punch in him at that time.
Only reason why I don't want to see a rematch, is because TB clearly beat Vargas up. If Tim had any real power, the fight wouldn't have lasted past 7 rounds.
I would like Bradley fighting bigger fights since he's already 31. Vargas is still young enough to.bounce back.Comment

Nah, Bradley would have saw it out. He was rocked badly, but time was on his side.
The problem for me is this is the same 67 year old ref who handed Bradley the win vs Provodnikov because he called a blatant knockdown a slip, that point gave Bradley the W instead of a draw (I personally thought Provodnikov won). He then ends a fight 10 seconds early when Bradley is badly hurt...can't be making those errors.
More ****ery for Bradley, another question mark, saved ten seconds before the bell this time, instead of a 20 second count and by the bell, and to add the same ref, reffed both fights, pure madness, im still in shockComment

Since the fight never actually finished, shouldn't it be a NC? I mean, can there be an official winner?Comment

I don't want to see a rematch. It wasn't a bad fight but it was not competitive at all. The ending doesn't erase what happened for 11 rounds and 2:40. Vargas was out of his depth and will be in a rematch.
As for the controversial ending, the chances of Vargas stopping Bradley were slim to none. There was only 7-8 seconds left and Bradley was clear headed enough to tie him up and bend low. He was by no means defenseless.
Vargas can use the controversy as a moral victory if he wants.Comment

I find it hilarious people on here acting like Bradley schooled Vargas the whole fight. It was a close competitive fight the whole way through. The rounds that Bradley did win were very close and vice versa. Then the ref calls off the fight when Vargas had him badly hurt. What kind of crap is that? It looked like the ref pulled Vargas away, thought about what he was going to say for a couple seconds, and then half heartedly waved the fight off looking all confused. If that isn't grounds for a rematch I don't know what isComment

Last weekend Porter got floored early in the last round while leading big on the scorecards. Last night Bradley got rocked late in the last round with the fight already in the bag.
Smart trainers will definitely use these as examples to remind their fighters to stay sharp and not lose focus late in fights even if they are winning big.Comment

People saying what "would have happened", how many predicted that a guy with 9 stoppages would even buckled Bradley in the first place?Comment
