    I think Brähmer gets to much heat here. At least as far as ability. He is a very good fighter albeit an old one. Yes his opposition leaves a lot to be desired, but you cannot blame him not fighting Cleverly this time.
    He is a good fighter but he does fade quite a bit during his fights. In the first half or so of his fights he looks good and then as he tires he starts missing a lot and ends up doing a lot of holding and spoiling.

    It might not be so easy for Braehmer to get good opponents, even Cleverly seems to have passed up the chance and instead fight in a non-title bout where presumably he is getting better paid. It is possible that this was the best opponent that Braehmer could get.

      In his whole career Brähmer has only fought one Ring Magazine Top 10 ranked guy. That guy was Garay and Brähmer got beat up pretty badly in that fight.
