If I remember correctly, Braehmer claimed he had a belly ache.
It's not even like Cleverly has beaten a legit lt. Heavyweight opponent in several years and "earned" a title shot. The bigger question is, if Sauerland isn't going to let Braehmer near Kovalev or Stevenson, why they aren't trying to replace Cleverly with a more legitimate top lt. Heavyweight, like Alvarez, Beterbiev or Chilemba? They are milking the belt until the cow dies.Comment

I don't understand why Fonfara is taking on Cleverly, the guy has proved he can mix it with the top echelons of the divison, he should be pursuing a mandatory title crak at Krusher or Aquacknis.Comment

He got a rather su****ious injury.
I think Brähmer gets to much heat here. At least as far as ability. He is a very good fighter albeit an old one. Yes his opposition leaves a lot to be desired, but you cannot blame him not fighting Cleverly this time.Comment

He gets heat because he has talent and he and his management have always taken the softest path to cupcake money. He gets undeserved set-up shots at vacant titles at home, he religiously defends against horrible opponents because his fans don't care, and his management has never, in more than a decade in the top 20 of the divisions he fought in, dared to match him against the best in their division. What's not to like? Pro sports are about money and competition. Braehmer and Sauerland, more than any team I can remember, are experts at getting the first without the secondComment

No one's talking about Cleverly. We're talking about him handpicking another cream puff insteadComment
