There would be a difference. But as Eddie Hearn said, Khan would also cost more and probably be harder to deal with because he's a girly diva.

He said he thinks Mayweather needs to prove himself by fighting him
if Floyd were to choose brook, khan might cry in his bedroom all day

I'd be able to tug one out to the recording.

Mayweather usually picks opponents that have a world title. Khan would be guaranteed a Mayweather fight if he had beat Brook and also would have had his two biggest paydays, now he could lose both if Mayweather-Brook is made.

Exactly,he had 2 chances to fight for that IBF title and turned both down.

                Fighter of the decade rather..

That is, if he can outshine the accomplishments of Amir himself.

One could fear Mayweather dilutes his legacy.

But I'm thinking the angle for the Brook fight would be that it was for the undisputed title which wouldn't make that much of a difference in sales since Khan didn't exactly do himself any favours with his last terrible performance either.

They could also remind people that this was the guy who beat Porter who beat "Lil Bro"
No US fan is going to make the PPV buy decision on Khan being in the main event with Mayweather, especially after the biggest audience to see Khan fight (outside of his fight with Luis Collazo on Floyd's undercard) just saw him turn in a piss poor performance; to sell it as anything else is silly.

The "angle", if you will, is that Brook is 1)in a position to maximize the potential revenue to be brought in from the UK with Sky Box Office and 2)Mayweather-Brook can be sold, stateside, as an actually competitive fight; whether it ends up actually being competitive is on the two fighters.

Kell Brook has blown out every fighter that he's ever been put in a boxing ring with, the 8-4 victory over Shawn Porter being the standout performance to US fans (even the first Carson Jones fight, which folks seem to want to give him **** for, was a fight that he won pretty comfortably imo).

To that you add Brook being massive at the weight, being able to box coming/going, him being able to switch hit, and his youth, and you've got a showdown that you can have talked up on ESPN for the full fight bill, in ways that no one could legitimately say of a Khan fight (though I believe that Floyd still finds a way to beat Brook, I couldn't honestly give you a skeleton of how the fight would play out; a Floyd-Khan fight is pretty well settled, in that Floyd takes 1-2 rounds to nail down Khan's timing, walking Khan into **** over the next 3-4 rounds before closing the show/skunking him down the back stretch).

To become the undisputed welterweight champion.

Yes he said he was going to vacate the belts. If he keeps the WBO belt, hell keep the WBA/WBC 147 titles & vacates his 154 straps.

If he vacates WBO title, I see him keeping maybe the WBA/WBC 154 lbs titles & WBA/WBC 147 lbs titles.

I actually like what the WBO does here. It doesn't let a fighter "baby sit" titles in another weight class while being champ in another.
