I think Hoya is about right.

Cotto/Canelo should do way more than 1mil.

It really is a great fight between two proven earners.

Apparently (haven't seen official figures) May/Pac pulled in over 4mil PPV ?

Cotto / Canelo will be a better fight.

Maybe 2 mil is pushing it, but I think 1.6 - 1.8'ish is pretty realistic.

[QUOTE=ElMeroChingon;15822938]Actually Puerto Rico was not discovered by Christopher Coulombs on 1492.

It was just the hot spot for Europeans to dump off all the ****** that didn't want to work.

ElMeroChingon, In my opinion, I think that before you make a statement alleging historical fact you should do some research. Because your statement about Europeans dumping ****** that didn't want to work has no basis in fact. Did you just make that up?

Here's a history lesson for you: On November 19, 1493 Puerto Rico was discovered by Christopher Columbus on his second voyage to claim lands for the rulers of Spain, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. In 1493 the island was called Borinquen by the indians who lived there. Columbus named it San Juan Bautista.

1.5 sounds about right. They are the 3rd and 4th most popular boxers in the world, have fan pleasing styles, and plus the peurto Rico Mexican rivalry. Many casuals will be watching. Mexicans and peurto ricans are rabid boxing fans. In fact look at mayweathers best selling fights. Outside of pacquiao his best selling fights were against canelo, de la Hoya, and cotto. Plus cotto has been knocking guys out left and right and canelo is coming off a big Ko win

In my eyes, this could be the next biggest fight in boxing. Jr. is done in terms of opponents that can match PPV buys of with Pac and most his opponents to choose from now don't generate enough interest for enormous buys. With Jr. out of the picture,
Cotto and Canelo are here to fill that void. It's not like watching either of them against Jr. you knew what you were going to get, Jr. stinking out the place while Cotto and Canelo try to make a fight and give your money worth. Now the two paired against each other? OopH!
