We already went over Ward - dude said Golovkin needed to beat some top guys before he'd fight him, he wasn't interested. Then a year later he had a tune up and said he'd love to fight Golovkin and proceeded to exile himself from boxing for 2 years, even stating at one point he didn't know if he'd ever come back. But keep acting like that fight was possible.
Your missing the key part of the story is that after Ward said he'd love to fight Golovkin, Team GGG backed the *** down and started talking about financials. Lets tell the whole truth here.

There was also the complication of Ward needing a couple of tune ups first, which he still hasn't had 18 momths later.

K2 only said they wanted a good chunk of money, not the majority of it. Ward's demands are pretty crazy, he gets $2m+ for tune ups.

Funny enough Bute vs Froch only happened because Ward passed on Bute for not having "earned a shot" (same thing he said about Golovkin) and Ward missed out on a huge fight. Bute resurrected Froch's career, really, thanks to Ward.
Yeah because I'm sure you're all about telling the truth, bashing GGG every chance you get on NSB. The point was there has never been a time when Ward & GGG could have fought. When GGG was interested in Ward, Andre wasn't interested in him. After Ward had his tune up and TALKED about fighting Golovkin he proceed to do nothing and exiled himself.
We were in a thread where a guy made out like Froch had called out GGG, then got his bluff called and is now silent.
GGG fans like to bend the truth.

i didn't have showtime when lacy was coming up. i don't think i saw a lacy fight on TV prior to calzaghe. i think i downloaded osme of his fights, IIRC, like syd vanderpool, scottie pemberton, omar shieka, etc.
still, lacy was touted for his left hook. that's one punch. it wasn't particularly educated, either, just hard. they were pushing him at a time when boxing was at an all time low. this was pre mayweather - de la hoya, which put boxing back on the map after the retirement of tyson, after trinidad - de la hoya, etc.
golovkin hgas a great left hook, right hand, uppercut, jab, chin, fundamentals. he's a complete package minus the blinding speed that we usually see from elite level boxers.
he's not going to get beat up like that by any middleweight. i'd bet my house on that.
he may get beat up at SMW against ward, but that's really not getting "exposed" as much as it is running into a genuinely great boxer with a great chin who is bigger than you are.
