golovkin is highly schooled, if you can't perceive that then i don't know what you're watching. andre ward could beat him because i think ward can fight effectively at more ranges, but it certainly wouldn't be an easy fight for him. even paul smith landed one or two shots on ward's chin

However, I do feel GGG will get his world wrecked if he has to face Ward at 168, or Mayweather at 154.

GGG's style is predicated off timing. An educated jab and good footwork will disrupt GGG's offense and force him into a wild swinging chaser.

I feel Mayweather vs GGG would look eerily similar to Mayweather vs. Maidana.

Ward would stop him. I notice Euro trainers have no problem throwing in the towel once their fighter gets a nose bleed. GGG's corner would not allow Ward to destroy him. They'd stop it after it becomes obvious they can't beat Ward.
You noticed that because of one fight involving Ward against Paul Smith?

        Wow, you're very perceptive.

No... Jeff Lacey got exposed quite early, if he were not have taken on Mr.Slappy so early and then Jones Jr.

I think the question has to be, if Lacey where to have fought the same equivalent of Golovkins opposition... I doubt it. Lacey showed a lot of flaws early and his style wasn't so polished as Golovkins.

GGG has a lot of intangibles to run through a lot of the current middleweights but will the fights happen... I doubt it. Unfourtanitly fighters are too protected no matter how any one sees it. It wasn't unknown in the past but it is seen more now than ever.

Bernard didnt fight anyone of of any real elite level after Jones till Tito. But bullied the hell out of him. This is unfourtanitly not the greatest middleweight era. Cotto is a joke, quillin is will never be thrown in with GGG and most likely move up in weight, Jacobs is more likely to fight GGG but the man as much as I like him will lose, and Lee is good but has come to focusing to much on his right hand not the boxing Stewart took so long to teach.

It is hard to perceive when you are not fighting any A-class world champions man

Thanks for the correction smart ass. Point is, GGG is a Euro fighter. Abel Sanchez is not the only voice in GGG's corner.

A 38 year old Carl Froch whose been out of the ring for over a year is not the only elite level fighter out there.

                    A chilling fantasy.
To be honest, I would liken GGG to Paul Williams. Only because like Paul Williams GGG is believing his own press clippings as "the world's most feared fighter " like Paul Williams only to be defeated by a lesser foe. It was a slippery slope from there for Paul.

Side note, I really miss Williams.

Golovkin's actually a central Asian fighter. Kazakh boxing program is pretty distinct from European. I believe HBO did a short segment about Vassily Jirov being trained by a guy who would lock him in a room with attack dogs.

BTW - Ward opened that cut on Paul Smith with a headbutt in like the 4th round (just like the Kolle fight).
