I don't think he is shook, I perfectly understand his reasons... The problem is he was in that same situation a year or 2 ago and he was accusing people of ducking him. It's the hypocrisy that made people laugh, now he wants to be reasonable?

Mega, dont you think Spence is high risk, low reward at this stage? There is no doubt Spence is solid, however, Thurman is aiming up as far as stock value is concerned. You don't get the big names by fighting unproven fighters. And Spence hasn't even fought a C level type fighter yet, let alone a known / respected one.

Fact is, Spence is better than Guerrero, yet Guerrero has the resume to give credibility to those who fight and beat him. Spence can't offer that. You beat him and you will find yourself in the same place.

I understand Thurman in this situation, just like I understand Porter. Spence needs to work his way up like those two did. If I was them, I'd want Spence to go thru all the frustrations, struggles and work that I went thru to get to my position.

Sometimes you just gotta roll the dice and hope you don't crap out. Beat Spence now and get it out of the way while he's young. That way there he wouldn't have to rematch him for 5 or so years (assuming spence improves and keeps winning)
Thurman could reighn supreme for that time.

Thurman will fight Spence man.

It's not an ideal fight because he wants bigger fights, and bigger names but if no one else will put their hand up, Spence will be the guy.

Spence would be foolish to take this fight, but if he really wants it (and I'm skeptical) then let him try.

Thurman probably feels disrespected. Why is he a gatekeeper or some guy that is a step up fight for an up & comer? I'm sure in Thurman's mind he should be getting big fights against Khan, Maidana, Porter, Brook, and of course Floyd. Not Spence. Spence should be fighting guys like Robert Guerrero for his first true step up fight (if he wants to step up that big fight now) instead of a guy like Thurman, imo.
