Logically he shouldn't need to stay newsworthy - but logic flies out of the window when you are a mouthy prat, with a hugely over-inflated ego. For the same reason he can't help himself mentioning "his lovely model wife Rachel" just about every time he's asked whether he will fight again.

Well yeah his family would seem like quite an important thing to consider when deciding whether or not he wants to continue professional boxing. Seems pretty logical, old boy.

By the way, although his resume is currently better than GGG's, lets not pretend that it is stellar. If Froch himself would man up and fight GGG both of their resume's would improve but there's only GGG that wants that fight. If he doesn't intend to fight GGG then he should just stop mentioning him.

Why are you such a d*ck Dirk? - you know that it was Froch who first mentioned GGG not the other way round. Loeffler just did his job and followed up on the interest and then Froch came out with his "I'll make a decision in the 1st week of June" - since then a once a week statement by Hearn that Froch hasn't yet made a decision.

Froch always fancied the Golovkin fight, but Hearn pushed him away from it towards DeGale which Froch didn't want and Chavez which fell through. Now he's a year out of the ring and virtually out of the sport.

Froch should just come out and state the truth... whenever he decides that he will take the fight, his wife walks in the room naked and says that if he takes that fight he will never touch this body again. Then he goes into a funk and refuses to talk to anyone.

He laps up every second of it mate - which is fine if he has the intention of trying to set up the fight. If not he can just tell the interviewer to stop mentioning that name.
For example if someone had the temerity to ask me what I thought about you on a regular basis I think after patiently explaining that you are a complete and utter Froch nuthugger the 1st two times by the 3rd time I'd be telling the questioner to just change the subject. Froch could do the same when GGG's name is mentioned - but nah - he comes out with all this crap about how a GGG fight is one that really motivates him to get out of bed, that it's a fight that really interests him. Since Team GGG basically said "lets do it" Froch has gone quiet leaving Hearn to do the same weekly update.

GGG is a boxer worth following because 20 knockouts in a row is remarkable and fun to watch - but he will get beaten one of these days and I'm keen to see if Froch will be the one to do it - unlike you.

Golovkin isn't desperate to get paid. He might not have lucked out on a huge payday like Froch but his pay days are tending upward and 1.5 million is not too shabby. GGG is not different to any other boxer regarding getting paydays but the difference with him right now is that he still hasn't found his boxing ceiling and moving up a division to fight the 2nd best boxer in that division is called challenging yourself at a professional level.
