Do you think wilder will vacate the wbc belt?

We all know that povetkin is more athletic, skillful and elusive than deontay chicken legs wilder.

With that In mind will he pull a Peter quillin and vacate?

If the WBC forces him to fight Povetkin, his fear will get the best of him and he'll drop the belt.

But "We Be Crooks" may just keep postponing it, letting him keep the belt without fighting a mandatory.

I think he will fight a randomer in September and then try to fight Wlad.

The money would be great to fight Povetkin (purse bids between Ryabinski and Haymon with majority split to Wilder :O) but in terms of prestige it isnt as great as a Wlad fight. Plus Wlad would be happy to fight in America.

In a perfect world Wilder, Povetkin and Fury would fight and the winner would get Klitschko, rather then them all lining up one by one.

True, he's rocking in with drug excuses already. To be honest I think he loses before he fights povetkin anyhow

And any fighter would do the same. Any fighter who gets a title shot would be insane to turn it down.

To answer the question no way in hizell. The belt is worth millions of dollars literally..

There will be some sort of step aside payment or "special defense" or something

They've been waiting years and years for a guy like Deontay to pick up a table scraps belt, that's what 40+ year old Americans think "a heavyweight champion is supposed to look like!" as you've heard 1 million times

To throw him away in a suicide fight against a guy with zero western fame like Povetkin just isn't how boxing works.. I would be amazed, I would praise Deontay himself for making the fight if it happens because his handlers sure as hell didn't want it

I dont think Wilder gets the bigger split. I think they said the "foreigner" fighter gets it. Using the word foreigner for lack of a better term. I forgot which purse bid it was that this was explained. Might be in the rules. I could be wrong too.

I dont know for sure, I always thought that purse bids had set % splits which favoured the champion.

Dont know how it differs between Orgs either

Well I think Deontay wants the fight it's just doesn't make much sense to fight Povetkin. Who is Povetkin anyway but some dude desperate to make a comeback for a belt after his horrible Wlad fight. There's no reason Team Wilder should bend over backwards so Sasha can reignite his career.

It it looks right Wilder will fight him and beat him..
