If Thurman can't get a fight with the elite at welterweight, why doesn't he fight Lara? He's has fought in that division before and if he actually beats Lara then he would be in line for a lot of big fights.

Thurman will get a big fight next. My guess is Shawn Porter.

Then Brook next year in a huge fight.

He won't fight Lara because he knows he'd lose. Why fight Lara when Uncle Al will pay you a million to fight light-hitting, old Collazo who just had what little was left of his soul beaten out of him by Khan?

In fairness to Thurman, he admitted he was wrong to be calling out Mayweather etc back when he had no significant wins. He seems a straight up guy.
I don't know about that. Now that the tables are turned, and as you nicely said, the hunters have become the hunted, he's singing a different tune. It's like when the shoe is on the other foot, he conveniently sings a different tune. I don't find that straight up. Just find it ironic.

I made a thread about it the other day slating Thurman but I have since seen him show humility in the situation and acknowledge he was wrong in the past.

That's what i thought ' Excuse time'... Now he wants to reason? He didn't reason when he was trying to get his own chance, he is 25-0 so why would someone like Mayweather fight him too? He was all about fighting everyone a year ago and now? Yeah thats what i thought.

this dono looki good for one times cred.

at least he could say no to spence because hes got a bigger match up lined up.

We all know where this kind of talk ends up, and it wont be competitive.

silly to think al haymon with let Thurman lose his 0 by fighting mayweather.. haymon will want Floyd retiring undefeated, and Thurman to go on to become his new WW cash cow, both with 0's intact

As annoying as it is, and undeserving, haymon would have no issue throwing khan under the Floyd bus to lose, then it's an event with 2 of his fighters and he gets run of the undercard to get the likes of Thurman more ppv card exposure

This has to be the dumbest thing ive read all year. Expecting Thurman to fight a 154 lber.

Mayweather is f....ing clown. Spence fought a bum who only had a weeks notice to prepare; and you want to get him next to a guy like Thurman?

Thurman has lit up 147, he is being ducked by Mayweather and all of the other big names at 147. Haymon is mismanaging Keith Thurman. Haymon is head clown in the Mayweather circus.
