Pacquiao isn't the best in his division. Golovkin> pac amirite?

      • Zab Judah - decent win, but Judah was not near prime
      • Lucas Matthysse - very good win against very good fighter still prime, close decision

      • Lamont Peterson - arguably a robbery, not dominant that's for sure

      Golovkin:
      • Kassim Ouma - decent fighter on the way down, had lost 2 of last 4
      • Grzegorz Proksa - decent fighter
      • Nobuhiro Ishida - decent win, KO was awesome against a guy now fighting (journeymen) at HW
      • Matthew Macklin - good win against good opponent still in prime
      • Curtis Stevens - good win against solid opponent still in prime
      • Daniel Geale - good win against former titleholder still in prime
      • Marco Rubio - good win against longtime fringe contender
      • Martin Murray - good win against good opponent still in prime

Golovkin has more good victories against quality prime opponents. Garcia has Matthysse and Khan who are a little better wins (those guys weren't p4p quality either) but also has a couple robberies against the level of guys GGG KOs.

It's close, so I'll give it to GGG because his wins are much more dominant.

Nice thread. The answer is quite obvious... Anyone that votes for GGG is either an idiot or a troll.

I'm not even a Garcia fan but this ain't even close. That's why I don't get how anyone has ggg in their p4p rankings when his best win is who again?

Garcia has an unofficial loss to Herrera and some say Peterson(didn't watch the bum fight). Those are resume killers. It's like he got promoted after the Matthysse win, then couldn't handle the extra responsibility and is now demoted after lackluster performances against B levels.

Because not everything revolves around resumes? When they get in the ring they, you know, kind of fight and hit each other rather than compare resumes...
