Possibly yes, on rare occurances there are legit improved fighters, rarely. But "improvement" or the appearance of improvement usually comes from good matchmaking. You could look like you improved, then after 5 fights you fight the same guy who already KO'ed you, and he KO's you yet again. That's not improvement, that's good matchmaking. Expect for this improved Lemieux to stay away from Rubio rematch. Not because Rubio's stock went down, but because they rather not revisit a possible KO again and have to "rebuild" again.

      Naturally.

Fighting Eamonn O'Kane for $400k on Fox Deportes will make financial sense though.

But a Lil research shows there is no current mandatory yet. K2 contacts IBF, they say its fine for a Lemieux vs Golovkin clash right now. Oscar then comes out and says mandatory first, and then ANOTHER fight and after that they'll fight Golovkin. After some backlash, Lemieux comes out talking about he'll fight Golovkin, if the money is right. That's a preemptive excuse. Of course the money won't be right. $1m, $2m, it won't be enough. They'll fight their "mandatory" for less money and of course that money will be right because it will be against a guy they know he can beat. IBF ranked #8-15, since everyone else is tied up.
Exactly what i thought when i read all of that. Lemieux is just a puppet anyway, even though he himself would take the fight. They wanna milk him and fight some lesser opponents for less money, it's quite obvious. They will always play the money card, even though GGG would move to Lemieux's backyard and pay him much more than he would earn with any mandatory out there. Let's see how that plays out. Froch is still not totally out. Canelo vs Cotto is not made yet. People need to pressure Oscar into taking that risk. The reward would be insane if Lemieux beats GGG.

well it isn't about the amount of money earned, it's about the risk involved for the money you're making

i don't mind what Lemieux is saying here, dude does hold a title and that's great, but he'd probably be a massive underdog in that fight and he's never come out and said he'd own GGG or take his soul or whatever

i still want the fight to happen but it definitely needs built up, this is a fight where casuals would be like "lol whos lemieux"

******ation hasn't spiked yet. Andrade and him both have the delusion they can build it up to May/Pac levels... but one isn't fighting and the other is fighting a former thai bantamweight champion
