I'm a big fan of GGG, and I'd love to see GGG and Ward fight before this year is out, but if that is not possible, then make it for certain in 2016. I want GGG to have the chance to knock out Andre Ward, which ought to answer any questions about GGG's status as a professional.

We all know you can't make 168, Ward. Might as well announce it already.

I think Ward will stay at 168

Kudos for being the only GGG fan that actually wants the Ward fight. Most are scared ****less because of the likelihood that Ward embarrasses Gennady.

he would only embarrass himself by holding nonstop. you want to see that? did you enjoy floyd-maidana 2 or wlad-povetkin? ward literally has nothing else he could do but hold. he's not a dance around the ring boxer and he has no power so ggg will be in his face all fight and he will be holding all fight. its a guarantee. yeah maybe ggg knocks his cheating ass out but i would rather take a sure action fight then a sure boredom fight. if ward did somehow get the decision we know you would suddenly go blind and not see any of these fouls and proclaim him the greatest and you would say such things as "ggg couldn't get off" i wonder why...was it because someone was clamping him the entire fight...no its because ward is a great slick boxer just like wlad!

I think most GGG fans want to see the Ward fight, but we respect Golovkin's wishes that he only change division for a PPV fight while Ward fans think GGG should be willing to sacrifice his first born and fight for nothing for the honor of fighting the self proclaimed 'son of god'.

Well I don't believe in ANY gods and I think Ward is delusional if he believes he is the A side in the fight and can call the shots. Let him get whatever tune up fights he wants done and then he can try his luck and see if he can make it the full 12 rounds with GGG. No one else has ever been able to make it.

The only embarrassing thing may be if Ward head butts and clinches all night to survive. And that will be more embarrassing for Ward than GGG. But if he comes to fight, there is no embarrassment in losing for either man as long as they fight like one.

I find it pretty pathetic that in today's boxing world. Its no longer good enough to beat someone. You have to beat them to the approval of uneducated fight fans. Its also pretty pathetic that fans of certain fighters want fighters to adapt their styles to suit their favs.

Declares he is still fighting at 168...next fight at 172....against a 168 pounder. Just waiting for it.

Who cares about the weight class.
They're pretty much becoming irrelevant now.

Ward just needs to stay active. Stay fighting and fight exactly how he fought Smith. Surgical breaking opponents down and capitalizing when he knows they're hurt to finish the job. He has the talent and skill to do so. He continues to do that I'll watch any of his fights at any weight.
