I actually think a good fight for Spence would be Mayfield or maybe Algieri. I don't think he beats Thurman at all and though he might beat Porter, I'd like to think Porter is now looking at something bigger than a prospect. But I do love Spence and I don't think he'll miss; when he develops he'll be one of the best in the world.

I saw this on video, someone asks Mayweather about Thurman/Porter and he grabs Spence to suggest him before telling everyone he wants Mayfield or Berto.

Spence doesn't seem all that keen on those fights. Thurman is right about him, he hasn't even fought a B-level opponent. I'm not sure he has even fought a C level opponent.

Porter and Thurman are Mayweather opponents, not Spence opponents.

Was Ward's competition before Kessler any good? no - Miranda aside it was ****. Skills pay the bills.
I get what you're saying, but expirience is important as well. Spence has'nt even fought a guy that I would consider a solid C level and people want to throw him in there with Thurman who I think is an A level fighter.

Porter he has a shot to beat at this point because I think his come forward smothering style will be tailor made for Spence. Thurman would be entirely too much for him at this point.

Also what exactly is in it for Porter or Thurman? If they beat the kid they will get **** for credit because of the kids resume and if they lose they get **** on for being bums that lost to a kid with 16 fights. Its also not a big money fight. The fight makes no sense for anyone other than Spence and I even question if its good for him.

I want the kid to take a big step up just not that big, yet.

I don't understand, why are we not seeing Mayweather vs Thurman and Spence vs Porter. It makes it easier for fans to swallow the buy for a pay per view. Trying to ram this Khan match down peoples throat will only result in people vommiting and leaving a bad after taste for the last match of his career.

Based on what? Your fiction? Mayweather can fight whoever he chooses at this point because unlike the other three he has nothing to prove.

Porter would be target practice for Spence; Thurman is 52-48 type of fight. I can see either guy winning. Spence is closer to those two than they are to Floyd.

... Good choice... In his own words: "man down"..............
Indeed, but watch the videos, Spence is being put on the spot and can hardly say anything else.

Porter and Thurman are Mayweather opponents, the next best guys at welter-weight, not Spence opponents. Spence has barely even fought a C level opponent.

I think he beats Porter pretty easily easily. Porter is not that skilled. Spence could handle his rough house style.
