When “Premier Boxing Champions” airs on ESPN on Aug. 1, two of the fighters being featured will be people who audiences have seen at ringside and heard during broadcasts.
One is welterweight Paulie Malignaggi, who will face Danny Garcia in the main event. But while Malignaggi’s worn both boxing gloves and television headsets for some time, Daniel Jacobs is newer when it comes to the latter.
Jacobs will face Sergio Mora on the Garcia-Malignaggi undercard at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. He first served as a guest analyst in April 2014, when Malignaggi fought Shawn Porter on Showtime.
