Can any blame be put on his corner for not pulling him out? I mean, I've read that he wasn't even responding to them after a few rounds (1000-yard stare, etc.), so surely they failed him just as much as the venue and NYSAC?

This bullshit is verging on evil. They are delaying his treatment and putting his family through all kinds of extra unneeded stress with this action. Come on... no ambulance??! WTF. He had to get a taxi to hospital??
