Cotto holds the lineal MW and WBC title while simultaneously requiring a mandatory fight with Golovkin.
Does GGG hold a 168 title? Does Ward hold an interim title to face him as a mandatory?
Cotto came up, stole Martinez from Golovkin (who he'd been avoiding for years) and now campaigns at 160 without even facing anyone at the 160 limit.
Larry don't be so ******, man. The situations aren't the same.Comment

Not at all. Ward should fight GGG on regular HBO and be willing to accept B side money because he is no longer an A side fighter and brings absolutely nothing to the table.
Thank you! It is nice to find a poster intelligent enough to understand my posting style and what I try to get across. Unfortunately, few people here are able to see past the name of their favorite fighter and think everyone else is as biased as they are. He's actually a good poster. IMO he's throwing support to the claim that Golovkin and Ward isn't financially viable because Ward appears to overvalue himself and what he brings in regards to fan viewership.
You're ignoring the point he was trying to make and sadly coming across as a bit of a "hater" in your post.
If Ward wants to fight GGG, he should be willing to accept around double what Monroe got paid. I could see Ward getting 500k-750k as the B side to a GGG fight on regular HBO with the fight being held at the venue of Golovkin's choice. That is what he deserves at this point in time due to his inactivity and the quality of his most recent opponents.Comment

Barcham literally said Ward should retire because he took 9 rounds to stop Smith. He's actually a good poster. IMO he's throwing support to the claim that Golovkin and Ward isn't financially viable because Ward appears to overvalue himself and what he brings in regards to fan viewership.

He's scared to death of Ward and Golovkin fighting and it shows in how much time he dedicates to hating on Ward. If he had faith in Golovkin's ability, like I do, he'd really want to see a Ward fight rather than desperately argue against it.Comment

I would LOVE to see a GGG - Ward fight. Get it done and out of the way once and for all. I have no interest in talking about it for the next 3, 4, 5 years like another fight that turned out to be nothing but a big disappointment.Barcham literally said Ward should retire because he took 9 rounds to stop Smith.

Where's the money in fighting Ward? He can't sell. Gives away free tickets and has piss poor viewership. High risk, EXTREMELY LOW reward.Fans that claim to want to see the best fight the best shouldn't care how poor the ratings are for this fight.
We know Ward is one of the 2 or 3 best fighters in the world. We know GGG said he would fight anyone from 154-168. We know Cotto and Canelo are not going to fight GGG this year.
A sides make fights happen so why doesn't GGG, the A side, just go to HBO and ask them to make the Ward fight happen?
Isn't that what Fraud built himself up with? Werent' his quotes "If it don't make dollars it don't make sense(Cents)" And FloStans ate it up.
Now that the tables are turned, FloStans want GGG to make the fight happen. GTFO.
You claim Ward's the 2nd or 3rd best fighter in the world, then why pick on smaller guys? Ward needs to fight Kovalev anyway. He's a light heavyweight. He needs to sack up and fight him if he and his fans think he's the best out there in and around that weight division.Comment
