Yes Exactly. lol Sadly for Lara but he has a NEGATIVE name in boxing right now. A no name is actually better then him. Because a fan will say I will go to see GGG fight. And other fans will say I will not go because I have no interest in seeing Lara fight. You see the difference? That's the damage that Lara did to his image and reputation in the Canelo fight. There is a negative attached to his name that turns fans off. And only need to look at the Spike show 2 weeks ago for proof. Lara had a close fight with Canelo on PPV, if GGG goes out there and destroys him, then it'll be a direct comparison to Canelo.

No what I'm saying is Lara makes EVERYONE look bad when he fights. Including himself. He's the type of fighter you beat but it's ugly decision because he will run all night. GGG is not worried he loses the fight. But why fight a guy like this who makes boring ugly fights where there is no incentive for money, he brings no fanbase to the table, it might actually be harder to sell a fight against Lara then a fight against a no named fighter and if he wins won't get full credit because Lara ain't a middleweight? Big difference in no reason to fight a guy and being scared to fight guy. There is no reason for any big name fighter to fight Lara and all the proof you need is Lara's fight 2 weeks ago.

What do you mean Showtime has nothing to do with PBC? Showtime has almost exclusively aired Haymon fighters for the past several years, it's been one of the key networks showcasing Haymons stable.

If Lara is actually available to fight on HBO, sure make it happen, no one is scared of Lara. Golovkin will easily dispose of him and people will just say he's too small. But as we know Haymon and HBO havent been working with each other for some time and it seems very unlikely that Lara of all people is going to break down the barrier and crossover.

They just did the Floyd Pac fight. That is a step in the right direction. At least you want to see the fight as a ggg fan I respect that. But the others act like they don't even want to see it. And Lara has a big frame. He would not be that much smaller than ggg on fight night. No excuses

Lara would be by far and away the best name on GGG's resume but they don't want to see an "ugly fight" which is code for they're scared GGG doesn't look like the monster everyone claims he is and the hypetrain starts to die.

i don't see how two fighters in different divisions now claiming to be willing to fight golovkin somehow excuses the fact that two whole generations of middleweights have outright ducked him. especially when one fight is improbable if not impossible due to the hbo-pbc rivalry and he previously agreed to fight the other but was declined by both the opponent and the network

That is the video that made GGG angry enough to put out a statement accusing Ward of lying about him. You must not have seen it, so here it is:

If Gennady was lying about Ward telling HBO he wasn't ready to fight, then somebody at HBO would surely have said something about it by now. Ward is an HBO fighter too, remember.

Likewise, Ward himself has said nothing at all about GGG since Golovkin made that statement.

So I'm assuming that GGG is telling the truth there, and Ward wasn't being 100% honest in that video you linked to.
