Yeah I was talking about at 160 though. Moving up is his only chance at a big fight or he has to wait till next year. People mentioning Lara, that ain't a big fight. Lara just tanked on spike TV getting HORRIBLE TV ratings poor attendance and got booed. Lara brings no fans to the table and has a boring fight style. Plus he's not a 160lber if GGG beats him people will not give him credit for beating a little guy and it will be a ugly track meet fight with him chasing a running Lara all night. It does nothing for his popularity to fight lara.

GGG either move up for Ward and Chavez Jr. Or wait till next year for one of the big names at 154 and 160.

Mayweather and Froch do not need to fight GGG.
Lemieux needs to fight his mandatory first
Cotto/Canelo matchup is too important to put either fighter up against GGG
Ward has gotta get some tuneups out of the way first
Quillin thinks fighting GGG is somehow comparable to May/Pac and wants god knows how much for that fight
If we're lucky maybe Andy Lee will step up to the plate if/when he gets through Saunders (I think this is his mandatory?)

It wasn't a big fight either but it wasn't a bad ugly fight which is what Lara will be. I mentioned this before if you are GGG if you going to not have a big fight rather do it against someone who will actually fight with you and make for a fan friendly exciting fight. Rather then fight Lara for the same money and it be a ugly fight where the boo birds will be out after 4 rounds. Again Lara just fell on face when he tried to headline a SpikeTV show just 2 weeks ago. That fight was a disaster barely anybody showed up and the ones who did booed him. Barely anyone tuned in to watch it and the ones who did flooded message boards to trash Lara for his performance against a bum who was begging to knocked out. There is no upside in fighting Lara if you are GGG or any other big name for that matter. He has all the skills to beat or be competitive against top fighter but Lara disgraced himself in the Canelo fight and the stink on him from that fight will take a long time to wash off. Fans just don't want to see his style of fighting. The Spike ratings prove this

What happened to building fighters? David should be fighting Ndam level guys until he is ready to step up. GGG needs to quit acting like everyone else is there for his convenience.

Floyd was on the grind for like 9 years straight before he started getting the fights he wanted.

He called out Oscar and Shane so much back in the day, especially Oscar and didnt get those fights until much later, because they had their own plans, their own agenda and Floyd didn't fit that.

If they have to fight you, then fine tear em up. Otherwise stop asking for handouts.

Once you win a title, you are at the top of the hill with the other title holders and should be obligated to fight the best available opponents. You no longer have the luxury of 'working your way up' because you are already as high as you can get. If you still need 'building', you should not have fought for the title in the first place.

Lemieux is now a champion and he should be fighting the best of the best if they are willing to fight him.
