If Lemieux doesn't fight Golovkin after his mandatory what else could it be if not a blatant duck?

Lol, there is no current mandatory with IBF. Might be first time ever the promoter requested the org to setup a mandatory defense.

#3 Saunders is fighting Lee for the WBO
#5 Soliman is fighting unranked Wade this Friday and going to lose badly
#6 Mora is fighting Jacobs for the WBA

Wade's rated #2 in the USBA, so maybe his win over Soliman propels him from being unranked to mando status, but with GB suing Haymon I don't see Lemieux/Wade happening. They should have #7 O'Kane vs #8 Johnson.

I'm fine with Lemieux/Golovkin not happening yet. I want David to have about 3 more fights first to build up his status and improve a little more.

        I love it!!!!!!
Lara, Rameriz, or N'Dam. Did Luis DeCubas get permission from Haymon & contact K2 yet?

Man, 3 fights? Is that a joke? You want to wait a year before he faces Golovkin? And if he loses the title to someone else you then want that other person to wait another 3 fights to "improve" before facing Golovkin?

If it's not done after this fight it's a duck, simple as.

It's just the reality of the situation, yeah it's going to be a duck. GB just got Lemieux a title, had over 10,000 people buy tickets, sold on Canadian ppv. He's a new cash cow in a new market, they're not going to trade that away for a one time payment vs Golovkin no matter how badly fans want that fight.

Far as I'm concerned from a fan's perspective, Lemieux/Golovkin isn't that competitive of a fight. Golovkin kills Lemieux right now, and GB knows it. If I were you I'd stop getting excited for that fight for now.

Cotto has a mandatory to face Golovkin. You don't see him being eager to honor that agreement. Suddenly Lemieux is eager to do a mandatory rather than fight GGG. They are all ducking. They wat Lemieux to face Canelo before he ever steps in the ring with GGG. GGG has earned the right to face the very best. But they are all coming up with excuses. Cotto, Canelo, Lemieux. Who is next?

All these dadgum mandatory rules and wars with promotional companies...smh

Can GGG get out of that contract and face the WBA interim champ Daniel Jacobs?

Otherwise K2/HBO will have GGG fighting someone like Jorge Sebastian Heiland or Chris Eubank Jr.

I agree with that. It would be a duck. You don't see Cotto so eager to honor his mandatory with GGG. Wonder why that is? Surely Cotto is not ducking GGG. Lol
