What do you mean Showtime has nothing to do with PBC? Showtime has almost exclusively aired Haymon fighters for the past several years, it's been one of the key networks showcasing Haymons stable.

If Lara is actually available to fight on HBO, sure make it happen, no one is scared of Lara. Golovkin will easily dispose of him and people will just say he's too small. But as we know Haymon and HBO havent been working with each other for some time and it seems very unlikely that Lara of all people is going to break down the barrier and crossover.

Comparing Showtime to HBO is foolish. HBO banned Haymon and his fighters and Haymon took all his fighters to Showtime. Even though he started PBC he still has a relationship with Showtime. HBO has no relationship with Haymon outside of Mayweather vs Pacman fight and that happened because the money was so great and both sides had no other options to equal the amount of money they would make together. GGG and HBO can make more money fighting other guys then they will against Lara. Lara brings NO MONEY to the table and they won't end their feud for him. He's not a star fighter. He can't fill seats. He's not ranked at Middleweight and he brings a ugly boring style to the table. He just got booed in his own showcase fight for Christ sake. Lara is untouchable right now mostly due to how bad he presented himself in the Canelo fight. Nobody is scared to fight him there is just no reason to fight. That's a big difference

The article did mention that David has to fight a mandatory because he won a vacant title. Obviously that was not the case with the Krusher.

It wasn't a big fight either but it wasn't a bad ugly fight which is what Lara will be. I mentioned this before if you are GGG if you going to not have a big fight rather do it against someone who will actually fight with you and make for a fan friendly exciting fight. Rather then fight Lara for the same money and it be a ugly fight where the boo birds will be out after 4 rounds. Again Lara just fell on face when he tried to headline a SpikeTV show just 2 weeks ago. That fight was a disaster barely anybody showed up and the ones who did booed him. Barely anyone tuned in to watch it and the ones who did flooded message boards to trash Lara for his performance against a bum who was begging to knocked out. There is no upside in fighting Lara if you are GGG or any other big name for that matter. He has all the skills to beat or be competitive against top fighter but Lara disgraced himself in the Canelo fight and the stink on him from that fight will take a long time to wash off. Fans just don't want to see his style of fighting. The Spike ratings prove this

Yes Exactly. lol Sadly for Lara but he has a NEGATIVE name in boxing right now. A no name is actually better then him. Because a fan will say I will go to see GGG fight. And other fans will say I will not go because I have no interest in seeing Lara fight. You see the difference? That's the damage that Lara did to his image and reputation in the Canelo fight. There is a negative attached to his name that turns fans off. And only need to look at the Spike show 2 weeks ago for proof. Embarrass GGG? Where did you learn to read? US public school? I said that having Lara fight on HBO and get ratings three times what his fight on Spike got would be embarrassing for Haymon and PBC. No wonder you seem so ****** in your posts... you cannot read properly! That explains a lot!

If the IBF is forcing Lemieux into a mandatory defense that kills a GGG fight for now. Sucks for GGG, he'll have to wait at least till next year for a big fight. Cotto will never fight him. Canelo will fight but not for at least another year. Mayweather will never fight him. Lee is locked up. I doubt Quillen will fight him and even if he does he looked bad against Lee.

At this moment the IBF isnt forcing anything. Technically the rules call for a mando after a vacant title fight, but IBF rules also allow for unifications (upon request) to trump a mando, and with #1 and #2 spots now vacant, and no #1 or #2 eliminators scheduled that I know of, I have no doubt whatsoever that Daryl Peoples would allow a Lemieux-GGG unification. I'd bet money on it....

No what I'm saying is Lara makes EVERYONE look bad when he fights. Including himself. He's the type of fighter you beat but it's ugly decision because he will run all night. GGG is not worried he loses the fight. But why fight a guy like this who makes boring ugly fights where there is no incentive for money, he brings no fanbase to the table, it might actually be harder to sell a fight against Lara then a fight against a no named fighter and if he wins won't get full credit because Lara ain't a middleweight? Big difference in no reason to fight a guy and being scared to fight guy. There is no reason for any big name fighter to fight Lara and all the proof you need is Lara's fight 2 weeks ago.
