Will Erislandy Savon ever turn pro?

He done everything in the amateur ranks. He won at the weekend in the WSB edging out Vasiliy Levit (14-0 in WSB), he is undefeated over 3 seasons with a record of 17-0. I thought the WSB was just a platform to get fighters ready for the pros?

He is way too talented to waste his prime in this shoddy WSB.

He is the nephew of the great Felix Savon btw, same kid who utterly tooled Anthony Joshua at the olympics and got robbed.

    Turn pro already

Isn't this what Cuba and boxing needs? A big exciting, explosive, slick heavyweight with a serious pedigree and skillset? One that takes his craft seriously and appears to be in excellent condition.
This is no Solis or Perez, this kids the real deal.

Really fed up with all these great prospects stuck in that WSB ****. There is some great Cuban and Kazakh fighters in there.

I hope so man, this guy is head and shoulders above the current young crop of pro heavyweights.

The problem with fighters from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan etc turning pro is the lack of promotional opportunities. These talents often don't get picked up and go to waste.

Ive been following some of his fights. He really is starting to look good down at Heavyweight (rather than SHW that he was in).

He got three entries into the WSB season 5 top 10 KO's video.

Gutting these guys cant turn pro.

Hopefully he finds a way to get to the states. Didn't the US and Cuba have an agreement to lift the embargo. What is the F**king Holdup.

He was given a gift in that fight, he lost against Levitt, he was too slow in that fight.

Erislandy won't be a good pro, he's a sucker for the left hook, before he used to compete at heavyweight and got knockdown 3 or 4 times before getting stopped by an azerbeidjani fighter at the worlds all from left hooks I believe.

He's a great talent, great boxing skill. Him getting caught with left hooks in exchanges, his lack of speed at 91 kilos and him getting tired rather quick will be his doom at cruiserweight. Oh I forgot most of the cruisers are pretty bad.

ROniel Iglesias is my favourite fighter on the team and he was robbed of a victory last night against the Kaahkstani fighter, I thought he won 4-1 clearly.

Would love to see it! Yes watched the WSB Finals vs Vasiliy Levit as well which was a good and close fight that could have went either way. Surprise Levit did not get the Decision in his backyard. Are people aware of the talent that will soon come out of Kazakhstan? GGG is NOT ALONE they have some excellent young fighters on the rise and they can do a little bit of everything just like the Cubans

But yeah I would love to see Savon as a Pro!
