  • Comments Thread For: Golovkin Still Willing To Travel For Carl Froch Fight

Kazakhstan's Gennady Golovkin has stated that he hopes to fight up to four times this year, and the 33-year-old interim WBC, IBO and WBA Super World middleweight titlist is eying a plethora of boxing’s brightest stars as he bids to make 2015 his biggest year thus far in his 33-fight career (33-0, 30 early).

Floyd Mayweather may have dismissed the chances of a Golovkin encounter, but Carl Froch has left the door ajar for a showdown under the right conditions.

With big names cascading down around him like confetti at a wedding, Golovkin has stated that he is ready to do whatever it takes to nail down the fights he craves.

Froch may surprise me and agree to fight GGG, but every day that passes makes me doubt even more that Froch has any intention of fighting GGG anywhere or anytime.

what's the bookies odds on this fight.........

and why is carl taking so long to make a decision - he's one guy in boxing who signs the contract virtually straight away........

surely he will take a fight with a "midget" won't he.....

So calling out the best possible fighters is now "asking for hand outs"? If he stays quite,he's ducking,if he calls people out he's begging for a payday.

GGG has totally earned the right to call out the best.. And the best are doing their best to avoid him so far. Anyone can see that the so called best do not want to get in the ring with GGG.

Because he can. He's earned the right to by fighting everyone in his division. Golovkin doesn't make or break his career and he doesn't need to fight again.

Andre Ward would be the best possible fighter at 168lbs and we know he's not as eager to get in the ring with him. For Golovkin, he either gets his payday or he fights a bum.

That match isn't even PPV in the US. Froch would literally be throwing Golovkin a bone and taking a paycut for himself.

Seriously, he can't win. He basically has to stand still and pray a fighter with a solid name makes him an offer sans provocation.
