i thought brewster had the opprutunity to come out and try to put lyko away early but instead he seemed intent on coming out and trying to show off some new found boxing skills.

if you ask me i thought lyko looked uncomfortable until about the 4th round, but brewster let him settle in and gain confidence. if brewster would have gone after him golota style i think he could have won the fight.

it was like brewster spent the first 5 rounds trying to display some skills that were never really there. by doing that he tired himself out while losing the rounds, i thought it was an extremely poor fight strategy all around.

I think the majority of people were saying that whether they will admit it or not. Each of the current heavyweight crop has their bad nights so maybe this doesnt do much to damage Lamon...All I know is was that he didnt seem to be in the fight completely.

I don't know, Sergei still looked 100 times more relaxed than Golota did in the first round, and when Brewster did go after him he either made Brewster miss or just took the shots and kept fighting. I actually think that if Brewster had gone after him early we might have seen Sergei KO him late in the fight, as Brewster seemed to be dead tired for the entire second half of the fight.

Did you notice Lamon whisper into the ear of Buddy Mcgirt I think in the 4th or 5th round and Buddy leans back and up and says "alright"....Wonder what was said, I am surprised the announcers didnt make note of it either.

            .
lol, no way. Golota is a mental midget. that **** brewster did vs golota worked because Golota is a rather mentally unstable fighter. And He's a quitter too.

Also, you have to remember, that in order for Brewster to do that to you, you have to play along by standing in front of him like Golota did. Lyakhovich was smart enough not to make that mistake in the first round.

Ultimately, I think it was all those lead rights to the body that slowly took the fight out of Brewster, and that's why Liakhovich looked more comfortable as the fight went on.

You could almost see Brewster wince after those body shots later in the fight.

they picked lyakovich out of nowhere, you know they thought he was a chump, he was rated 13th by the WBO, that means Brewster passed over theoretically more deserving fighters to fight him and got his ass whooped.

two things i will always remember about this fight..... Lyakovich must have landed 100 right hand leads to the body, it was ridiculous... and also, brewster weighs in at a career high for this fight, and loses.. coincidence??? im not so sure we shouldnt just stick him into the fat boy club with james toney. he will probably come in at 240 next fight.

instead of fighting brewster again lyakovich should say he feels like taking it easy and he wants to fight kali meehan and andrew golota before he gets around to defending his title against any top fighters.

i wont forget lyakovich taunting brewster at the end of the fight. that was funny, someone get one of those snazzy video clips up
i just think it was more of a case with Lyko learning from the mistakes of other brewster opponents in the past like Klitschko, Krasniqi, etc...who were better boxers, ahead on cards, and ran out of gas...so I think Lyko took special note to their losses and did that little bit extra that they didn't..
