    Brewster Got PUNK'D

great fight gotta love it and give props to lamon for staying on his feet. but this is hilarious i mean think about it.

they picked lyakovich out of nowhere, you know they thought he was a chump, he was rated 13th by the WBO, that means Brewster passed over theoretically more deserving fighters to fight him and got his ass whooped.

two things i will always remember about this fight..... Lyakovich must have landed 100 right hand leads to the body, it was ridiculous... and also, brewster weighs in at a career high for this fight, and loses.. coincidence??? im not so sure we shouldnt just stick him into the fat boy club with james toney. he will probably come in at 240 next fight.

instead of fighting brewster again lyakovich should say he feels like taking it easy and he wants to fight kali meehan and andrew golota before he gets around to defending his title against any top fighters.

i wont forget lyakovich taunting brewster at the end of the fight. that was funny, someone get one of those snazzy video clips up

They have a rematch clause...it was not a mandatory defense...Brewster gave Segie a shot (who had been ranked #13)...so there will be one unless Sergie gives up the title which I doubt because it means so much for him

Great fight. Great chins on both guys. They both belong at the top of the division no doubt, at least as it exists today....

I just got back from Cleveland indeed it was a great fight but Lamon fought lazy which seems to be his normal self...It's a shame too but I think in the process we learned something about Sergei who honestly I totally wrote off my hats off to him, he busted up Brewster pretty badly.

He always fights lazy I just watched the Sho telecast and didnt that girl who was interviewing him say something along the lines. That "Lamon you tend to get beaten in the fight and always leave yourself in a dire straights situation and come back to knock your opponent out" and didnt Lamon rebuttle with "Thats how I do, I will let my opponent get ahead and it drives me further to knock them out"....Didnt they speak something like that along the lines? It looks like Lamon was saying yeah I am lazy but I rely on my power to win fights and tonight will be no different.....

I like Lamon his style and his attitude but what he showed last night was his typical self but this time he stood in front of a guy that wouldnt back down....He reminded me of a old Mike Tyson who fought w/ nothing but power except he didnt quit when it got rough.

It's a shame I was really rooting for Lamon to be the type of guy to lead the HW division...It just got a whole lot messier.

I was never sold on Brewster, ever since the fight with Kali Meehan. He has serious power, but he just doesnt have the boxing skills and you cant KO everyone. I pretty much saw this fight going to Sergei if it went to the scorecards, and he did have to walk through some heavy shots to make it to the distance. It seemed to me like the body shots really did a lot to keep Brewster zapped and fighting below his normal ability, that and Sergei surprized me a bit with his speed.
