Smart decision by Wad's team. There are fights for him at 168, an that's where he's at his best. If GGG ever decides to go to 168 Ward will be there, and if he cleans out the division again, maybe he can move on to bigger challenges at 175 if his body is ready for it.

I know some will criticize his decision, but we need to keep in mind this is how Ward has been successful. He does what is best for him, and he's not giving an inch of advantage to anyone if he doesn't need to. As long as he keeps winning he will have the last laugh.

But there isn't a fighter in the top 10 that I see HBO paying for, for him to fight.
But that's now. If DeGale beats Grove/Jack winner he'd be a double titlist. I think HBO would pay good to televise Ward/DeGale in that scenario.

Stieglitz is fighting Abraham again this summer, so he won't be available anytime soon.

meh. Not exciting at all to see him just wait for smaller men to come up.

I don't see anything at 168 other than maybe De Gale, but the truth is Ward brings no money so I don't see guys itching to fight him.

His real chance at stardom is 175. He'll stay on BET fighting overmatched opponents.

For all the **** each gets opposing fan bases, they're rather similar in that regard. Both sitting tight waiting for smaller dudes to bring them something.

Golovkin can no longer run...Ward is staying put so stop the ducking and delaying the inevitable.

FIGHT WARD....He is not moving up and will be your boogey man until you except the challenge.

The fight with Smith took place at a catch-weight of 172-pounds, but Smith blew the weight by over four pounds and then failed to make the rehydration limit on the morning of the fight. By the time they stepped in the ring, Smith was said to be a cruiserweight.

Been telling everyone that for the longest time.....

Ward will continue to fight at 168.

He will fight top light-heavyweights AFTER moving to 175 and acclimatising.

He is too smart and too well-managed to hop around at different weights.

Significant weight fluctuation will shorten your career and leave you vulnerable, which is why he just fought at 172 following a long layoff.
