anyway its time for me to voice my opinion on who the nexy fighter of the decate will be ,and that is none other than texas born erroll spence jr.

floyd is already talking about matching him up with the likes of porter and thurman which are both great fights! spence is a REAL welter who is BIG and athletic and wont need multiple Cw fights to make his mark in the sport!and yes before you say well hes only a prospect, that is true but i will again make my point that hes at the VERY END STAGE of being a prospect and now being matched against tougher opposition. in fact i will be bold in my saying that his next fight will take place against a known name in the Welter divison.A real tough guy i bet!

and in a few years down the line the major PPV attraction fight to be made will be crawford vs spence and i guarantee u spence will body him, does anyone doubt me?

Didn't you say the same thing about Broner too?

Slow Down! Stop trying to Jinx and build up hate for these young fighter by trying to overhype him for beating a guy who took that fight on short notice

Spence Jr doesn't need to be rushed or Hype, let him earn his way to the top instead of giving him hype and then overprotecting him to preserve the hype

So far we've had Andre Berto, Devon Alexander, Adrien Broner, Shawn Porter, Tim Bradley and that is just in the last few years now its Keith Thurman or Errol Spencer

          Growing trend here.

I'm not totally sold on Spence. He's a very skilled fighter, but he looks a bit slow and methodical, and I don't think he has the fastest reactions.

He doesn't really establish distance well with his jab....he likes to fight close and on the inside, and you have to be on point at that distance and I'm just not sure he's good enough to do that against elite opponents.

He hasn't fought a lot of great opponents, but I've seen him just get hit with some punches that suggest that down the line, as he steps up, he could fall short of some of the lofty expectations some, like this thread starter, have for him.

I agree. No need to overhype someone who really hasn't fought any quality opponents. I'll wait to make a judgement til he fights a couple former champs or contenders at least.

He does seem to have the physical qualities like natural size, power, and speed along with skills to be something special. Also, he seems to be more focused and mature than Adrien Broner, which is key.

On the real, the next best African American superstar will be Terrance Crawford. Idk y the brothas on NSB think just because Floyd gave his endorsement to Spence he's automatically the next Successor to the crown. Don't get me wrong Spence is talented but until he beats someone with a pulse (& no Roberto Garcia wouldn't have counted) he's just an up & comer, not even contender status yet. TC is the truth, just because he's promoted by Floyds nemesis Arum brothas on NSB make TC out to be the white mans champ & fail to give him props. Skill for skill TC got what it takes to pay dem bills, spence has a while b4 we will be able to tell.

Did Terrance Crawford retire or something?

Meh, I've seen TC get rocked by a FW in Gamboa, just imagine what heavy hitters at 140-147 will do. Don't get me wrong, I think he's good, just think he might be packing some glass and he also gives a lot of rounds away early on which could cost him a fight or two.

On topic, I have no opinion on Spence, this guy hasn't even fought a 'step up' opponent, I'll reserve judgment until he's in there with somebody of note.
