Andre Ward left money on the table. He won the Super 6 tournament and was on his way when he got caught up in principal. He turned down the Bute fight because of principle's. Froch went on and took it because Bute was HOT at the time. Froch, who lost to Ward beat the breaks off Bute and got the fame and glory as if HE won the Super 6 tourney. Ward stayed on the shelf for too long.
Kovalev is there. GGG is at 160, Stevenson is there. Beat one or all of them and his resume is instantly better than any fighter in boxing when you add the super 6 tournament in. He should be BIG money then. Just keep fighting big names around 168 and win. The accolades will come.

They don't care for that.
Roc Nation will be out of this sport in no time. Haymon smashed them out pretty good as soon they tried to get in this sort.

Stay busy, keep winning. fights on network tv help get his name out to the casuals, as well as being associated with big rappers like jay z and big name athletes from other sports. Fights and wins over ggg, kovalev, stevenson, pascal get him over the topLast edited by Dodger07; 06-21-2015, 08:03 PM.

Also he fights out of Oakland, which isn't exactly a boxing hot spot. His fighting style, while technically sound, isn't attractive to casuals who liked sustained action. Ward has a spoiling style that stymies the flow of the fight. It works incredibly well but its not pleasing to most.
Another thing is his personality. He's neither intimidating (like Tyson), pompous (like Broner/Floyd), charismatic (like Leonard or even Thurman).

I don't see a whole lot of Bradley or Ward fans though.
I call it like I see it.

So Andre Ward is already probably the 2nd Greatest Super Middleweight Ever with a strong possibility of finishing #1 once he is done. It is a European Driven Division
always has been! Frankie Liles who was the last really Good American to be at the top of that Division and guess what, that went unnoticed as well. So Technically, Ward has OVERACHIEVED greatly when it comes to getting the attention he gets and the praise and the Accolades he has received thus far in a Division Americans typically don't care about.
HOWEVER, Light Heavyweight on the other hand you at least would have the opportunity to join the ranks of greats like Archie Moore, Jimmy Bivins, Michael Spinks and of course B-Hop guys like that. Light Heavyweight actually does have a rich American History
Don't know why this has never been brought up before but after really thinking about it. It has nothing to do with Race, Style, Promotion, Manager, Network...None Of That BS! He is simply stuck in a Division NOBODY ever cared for in America. So I hate to admit it because I'm a Ward Fan BUT Froch and all of the Europe fans who get on Ward for not travel, you guys are right...Ward does need to Travel because that is where all of the history in that Division is...IN EUROPE!
