Geez people don't know s*** about the TV business around here. Actually they care very much whether it's Fresh Prince of Bel Air or sports programming. Because people actually watch sports in real time while people DVR those ****** shows and fast forward through the commercials. That's why regional baseball telecasts are getting $1.5 billion TV deals.

If you're really this ignorant of TV programming, please stop posting I these threads..

I dont know why it continues to surprise me how idiotic, bias, and agenda laden the majority of these posters are. 2.4 million as currently reported may seem low compared to 4 million, but 2.4 is a very good number that Hbo and Showtime will never hit unless airing a replay of a certain super fight. Not to mention the return of Ward was on BET, Lemeiux vs N'dam on Fox sports, and Kimbo Slice vs Ken Shamrock on spike were all airing simultaneously and/or crossed over. Plus other world sporting events as well as a major movie weekend for Pixar with the release of Inside Out. Yeah but lets go with the idiots who think 2.4 million is a low number.

The XFL comparison is valid because you had smart deep pocket investors. They had a 2 year plan just like PBC. But the product was too expensive and when tv advertiser's did not jump on board like they expected they were suffering multimillion dollar loses which is what is going on with PBC. The difference is XFL debuted to amazing tv ratings then dropped each week. PBC debuted to mediocre ratings and have dropped each event since. XFL also had strong attendance they packed up the joint just couldn't get casual fans to watch. PBC struggling to full seats and get people to watch.

The XFL is a terrible comparison. It was competing against a well-established incumbent player with near 90% share. They never had a chance.

                PBC is blue ocean..

You can't be serious comparing NBC prime time numbers to premium cable. Didn't both Ward Smith and Lemieux NDam come on after the PBC show was over?

You cant just look at 2.4 and say whether it's a good # or not.

You have to remember, none of these fights are profitable. There spending over 4 mill for this fight easily.

is that worth it? It's impossible to tell, but realistically, how long can they really do this for? How long are these investors really going to let Haymon just throw $ at this?

I don't know what there measurement if success is, but I personally wouodnt consider 2.4 a win or a loss here for them.
