Should GGG be top p4p then with his impressive world class resume? He should have started by fighting a decent opponent instead of a fat, out of shape empty can who never even bothered to try to get in shape and actually fight and was just there for the payday. There are guys walking around the streets of Oakland who could have walked in off the street and put up a better fight. Ward should have had this guy out of there in 2 or 3 rounds, not NINE! If I was Ward, I would seriously be thinking about retirement after that fight. He certainly will not be taking on a much better opponent in his next fight.
And reading his delusional fans crowing about this fantastic beat down and how he should be back up near the top of the P4P lists is just hilarious. I mean it's better than listening to a comedy show!Comment

You reply with a generic, pointless response. As if the belts aren't being held by some fighters which are blatantly avoiding him.
I'm sorry you believe fighting someone who's ranked 4th in England for SMW with two back-to-back losses and who has been beaten by Groves and Degale in better fashion is a good opponent for the so-called P4P #2 in boxing.
The guy is a joke and so are you for defending such a fight

Nobody said his resume was worse, can you read?
Please stop acting like Paul Smith isn't the epitome of a bum. If you're going to have a tune-up can we at least expect the opponent has a heart beat?Comment

It was just a tune up fight after a long layoff, I don't hold it against Ward. Nothing wrong with shaking the rust off. From here on out though I think it's clear he doesn't need any more tune ups and he should go for the best fights available. You reply with a generic, pointless response. As if the belts aren't being held by some fighters which are blatantly avoiding him.

If he wants a tune-up, that's fine with me. I don't hold it against him either, however I do hold it against people who act like Paul Smith is better than or equal to Golovkin's recent opposition.
He's really, really bad. He's also on a losing streak. Fans of Ward should accept that Smith was a terrible opponent and not really a good measuring stick for anything except how hard you can hit a heavy bag and for how long.Last edited by T18Z; 06-21-2015, 05:08 PM.Comment
